Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Love the people at the hotel! Staff and service were phenomenal. Food was fantastic!

Hotel Aldan - The Post Office is 500 metres from the Smyril Line Ferry Terminal in Seydisfjördur. WiFi and parking are free. Nice place, comfortable beds. Restaurant in main building is a must to try, amazing food

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very cute Icelandic hotel and the staff were super nice.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. - Excellent staff! The girls were so nice with lots of recommandations about what to see and where to eat. They reminded us of the Hot Tub at the terrace which we enjoyed very much. They also suggested we go see the Puffin (on the road 94) which we did and we enjoyed a lot (there were thousands of Puffins really close) - The hotel room was big and clean with everything we need - The hotel itself is situated in the big forest, really close to the town Egilstadir.
