Fabulous wilderness location. Very comfortable room and the breakfast was the best we had across the 8 accommodations we stayed in whilst in Iceland. A wonderful place to go for a walk after breakfast!

Snæfell - Hotel by Aldan is 500 metres from the Smyril Line Ferry Terminal in Seydisfjördur. WiFi and parking are free. Clean and spacious rooms. Loved that our room for 3 was on the ground floor given that we’d big, heavy luggages

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Aamiainen oli hieman suppea. Kaipasimme esim. muutakin kuin paahtoleipää. Oli kiva, että pöydälle oli katettu valmiiksi kahvikupit, haarukat, veitset ja servietit. Ruokailutila oli viihtyisä. Sijainti oli kaukana kylästä, rauhallinen.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Very nice hotel, nice staff and a beautiful, silent room. The bed is very comfortable, Enough space for the luggage, nicely sized bathroom. Enough parking spaces around the hotel. Convenience stores, petrol station and the restaurants are pretty near. Only 30km away from Henigfoss, 1h away from the Puffin sightseeing spot Borgarfjarðurhofnvegur, and just 7 minutes away for Vök Baths. I cannot comment on breakfast, as I didn’t have any.

Set in Eiðar, 49 km from Hengifoss, Eiðar - Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 33 km from Gufufoss. It's clean and there was only one couple when we were there so we had the whole place for ourselves. Big kitchen, small rooms but very nice.

Situated in Eskifjörður, Hotel Eskifjörður has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Some units at the property have a terrace with a mountain view. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.
