Clos des Iris 2 stars

Hotel in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

Clos des Iris is set in a 19th-century house, just 400 metres from the centre of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the Gorges Du Verdon region. Excellent stay at Clos des Iris (4 nights in early June) - very welcoming team (Alex, her mum support team) - high standard of accommodation with excellent breakfast options (2 formules) with high quality foodstuffs - location good - walking distance from Moustiers Ste Marie (got used to the hill up to the village!) - a very relaxed environment - would definitely recommend. They were very accepting of my poor attempts to speak French!

La Ferme Rose-Hôtel de Charme 3 stars

Hotel in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

Located 1 km from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, this hotel has a large collection of objects from the 1950's and paintings by Maurice Vagh-Weinmann. Hotel is located in beautiful location, not far away from lake of Sainte-Croix and Verdon Gorge. Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast was tasty and enough for one person. I like style of lobby. Staff was very polite, I was allowed to keep a bike nearby.

Château de Trigance 3 stars

Hotel in Trigance

This medieval castle is set in the Provencal village of Trigance. Guests can enjoy a drink or a simple meal of regional produce in the onsite wine bar, which is situated in one of the oldest weapon... The location is secluded, about an hr drive from the Gorges du Verdon where we'd visited for the day, and stayed of Trigance enroute back to Nice. I loved the fact that it was a Castle, it was unlike any other accommodation experience we'd had in France, just so majestic. It also felt more like a 4 star and not 3 star as rated because of the great service, cleanliness, room size and comfort, restaurant option, and just general feeling of the place. The rooftop terrace was also just amazing.

La Bastide De Moustiers - Hôtel et Restaurant - Teritoria 4 stars

Hotel in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

La Bastide De Moustiers - Hôtel et Restaurant - Teritoria is a country house nestled in the Provence village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the Verdon Gorges. The hotel is located in one of the most fantastic regions in France. Being owned by Alain Ducasse, I expected the food to be great but it was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast beyond great, they use ingredients produced in their garden and dinner was an unforgettable experience, with the view of the sun setting behind the mountains. The staff did all they could to make sure we had all we needed.

Hôtel Spa L'Ermitage 3 stars

Hotel in Les Salles-sur-Verdon

Set in a 2-hectare park in the Verdon Regional Nature Park, Hôtel Restaurant L'Ermitage features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, 3 terraces, a bar, a restaurant and panoramic views of the mountain. We got to the hotel late, but, you're in the mountains and from our room balcony you could see horses and mountains and there were some cute kittens playing outside. So nice to be in absolute peace and silence. At night you can see every star in the sky. The room is huge, compared to other hotel rooms in France. There is like a foyer area where you an put any gear and luggage you may have, then the actual bedroom is separated into it's own room. The balcony had a nice table and two chairs. They have a pizza restaurant on property, but we had pizza earlier in the day, so, thankfully, there is a tiny, little town center a 5min drive away. There was a Middle Eastern place open, so thankfully, they had falafels, since my husband and I don't eat meat and we did take away and we bought a bottle of wine at the pizza restaurant and enjoyed our food on the balcony. If you are visiting Gorges du Verdon, I would highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to use the pool, but I wasn't sure if it was open or not.

FAQs about hotels in Gorges du Verdon

A Land Of Limestone And Turquoise

Situated in a south-east part of France, the Gorges du Verdon region offers easy access to the French Riviera, as well as some jewels of its own. Its biggest, the Verdon Gorge, is a real natural wonder and one of Europe’s most mesmerising river canyons.

There you can enjoy climbing large limestone walls, some of which reach 700 metres high allowing you to admire the stunning, turquoise-coloured waters of the River Verdon below. The area offers more than 1,500 climbing routes and hiking trails, plus some great fly fishing and canoeing opportunities.

Gorges du Verdon is just a short drive from the beaches and boulevards of Nice, Saint Tropez and Cannes, and you pass plenty of picturesque towns and villages on your way. Amongst these are Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, clinging a hundred metres up the limestone cliff and a typical Provençal village of Fayence.

Make sure you visit a lovely town of Gréoux-les-Bains and the nearby Lake Esparon. From there you can easily reach the most popular lake of the region, the colour-changing Lake of Sainte-Croix.

Gorges du Verdon is part of the beautiful region of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and is very popular with tourists thanks to its great location and easy accessibility. So whether you want to stay in Les Salles-sur-Verdon or a nearby Castellane, Booking.com offers plenty of options for your Gorges du Verdon stay.
