Set in Sartène, 2.4 km from Cala di Tromba Beach, Hôtel du Golfe offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a bar. We loved this hotel! The staff was exceptionally kind, and the service we received from Adeline, Francoise and the room cleaners was just top notch. The breakfast was fantastic every day, with fresh pastries and fruit and, my favorites, yogurt and panna cotta! Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day. The little bar was wonderful to have and the location was beautiful and couldn't be beat. I highly recommend Hotel du Golfe!

Hotel in LʼÎle-Rousse
Set in LʼÎle-Rousse, 50 metres from Digue Beach, RESIDENCE SANTA MARIA offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Amazing customer service, especially helpful on check-in and check-out days. We arrived early with a ferry and were already given a room at 7.40am, which was a great surprise! On departure day, we had a late evening ferry and we were offered convenient storage for our luggage and access to a fully equipped shower including towels. The studio was modernly furnished, with all appliances rather new. The bed was really big and comfortable; the bathroom had a good size, especially the shower; the kitchen well equipped with all basic utensils and appliances. Good aircon that was also surprisingly quiet. It was a quiet room, despite being in front of a car park and a station (trains end at 8pm and start again only at 8.30am). Very convenient to be so close to the ferry port and the train station for travel. The town and the beautiful city beach were less than 10 minutes away.

Situated in LʼÎle-Rousse, 1.1 km from Caruchettu Beach, Casa Paradisu features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. For a star rating of 5 stars, the breakfast should be included. Not rather expensive. The Hotel itself is amazing, facilities, staff and all, but the location wasn't described correctly. The hotel is right on the road and all you hear when outside on the grounds , laying at the pool, trying to relax is the constant noise of the cars and trucks and motorcycles racing by.

Calvi is one of the livelier places we went in Corsica with bars that stay open until 12-1am but isn't 'too' much. It's very picturesque by the waters edge with the yachts being peered down on by the citadel. Beautiful beaches very close by and slightly further away up towards ile Rousse. These are accessible by train and for the closer beaches along the decked walkway with the beach on one side and the pine forests on the other. Beautiful water, clear and calm.
Last stop of our tour of South Corsica, Bonifacio was by far the most beautiful city we visited with its stunning limestone cliffs! Numerous walking paths around the city enable endless sightseeing on the turquoise sea and the cliffs. Attractions there were quite affordable: boat trip to the Lavezzi Islands, entrance to the 'Bastion de l'Etendard' and the Aragon King's stairs. A great place to eat is 'Kissing pigs' on the Port: excellent service and value for money!
Fantastic. Rooms well decorated and spacious. Lovely balcony overlooking beach. Very intimate. Great for couples. Restaurant is a must! Best food we ate in Corsica!
A great base to start from. Lively little town with lovely places to eat. Difficult to negotiate the roads (lots of diversions!) as it seems most of South Corsica is having building work done at the moment! Rent-a-car very friendly and great vfm.
You probably don't visit Corsica just to come to Ajaccio. The city had it's charms, some interesting monuments and museums but less than most other Mediterranean cities. What is wonderful is the food and wine and the trips you can do from here. Corte, the old capital, is 2 hours inland by a breathtaking scenic railway through the mountains. The Isles Sanguinaires are a short bus ride away to Tour De la Pirata which offers great views towards the islands and stunning cliff top walks. Corsican food is said to be heavily influenced by French and Italian cuisine. Maybe. I personally think it's better. The fish and lamb dishes are astounding as is tender wild boar with pasta. The little known local so we are amazingly good. And there's an interesting use of chestnuts even in the local beer. So just go but allow time and take it slow given that there are few direct flights from the UK and public transport a bit scarce. You wont regret it.
Loved the drive through the centre of Corsica to get from Ajaccio. Loved the walk out to the lighthouse - the wild flowers and birds. There were plenty of restaurants available to choose from. All our meals were good. Can't wait to go back to Corsica again.
A lovely small town on a scenic bay with mountains behind. A great choice of restaurants that aren’t at silly prices. Many with lovely views of the harbour. Typical tourist shops but also shops for the locals. Not unsurprisingly very Corsican/French in style with little English spoken but everybody we encountered was friendly and helpful . Great walks around in the mountain and within a short drive quiet beaches and villages
If you are into the outdoors and stunning scenery, then Corsica is the place for you! There is so much to see and do in the Porto-Vecchio area (beaches, walks, hikes, boat trips, sightseeing!) but you really must have a car to get around. Be sure to choose an accommodation that has parking :)
Good for a 3-7 night stay if you plan to hire a car or use public transport/boats to see the sites. Easily walkable but some pavements are not be wheelchair friendly. One that the airport bus (8) only goes to and from the Gare CFC. We took a train trip to Corti (Corte on some maps) and the 2 hour trip gave us spectacular views of the mountains, waterfalls and bridges which you wouldn’t get by driving. A new Asian influenced restaurant on the front of Port Charles Ornano was excellent - called Tra di Noi. We had tuna, swordfish, shark steaks, chicken rice bowl, soft chestnut cake dessert and ice cream with a bottle of wine for €93. A patisserie just a few yards from the Fesch Museum was excellent for lunch - my favourite Swiss chard and Corsican cheese pasties were only €4. The artworks in the Fesch Museum included a temporary exhibition on Napoleon. The sea views and town beaches are also very appealing during the week as the beaches get very crowded at the weekend.
We loved our stay at this hotel so much. It is a truly 5-star hotel but with no pretentiousness, which allowed us just to relax and enjoy the beautiful experience. All the staff were incredible - polite, kind and very helpful. Our room with patio was beautiful and comfortable, the bed was huge, the products in the bathroom were amazing. The pool area is so beautiful and the breakfast had so many delicious choices. The nearby beach is beautiful and the overall location is great to explore southern Corsica. We will be so happy to come back.
Hotel situated in a small village of Tizzano, 20 min drive from the main road. A perfect place to rest and relax, as it is calm and quiet. Comfortable and clean room with a beautiful terrasse (or a balcony) with a sea view. The closest beach is 10 min walk. Very friendly staff (and owners) sharing all the practical information about nearby places to visit and nice restaurants and helping with any other practical aspect to make your stay unforgettable. Nice breakfast in the morning, and possibility of Corsican apero in the evening.
Porto Ota
Hotel in a lovely place, one of the most beautiful areas of Corsica. Our first night we enjoyed the sunset at the pebble beach and explored the village. The second day we went on a boat trip to Capo Rosso, a place we hiked to the same afternoon after a 30 min drive up via Calanques de Piana. The hotel had nearly all facilities we could have wished for. They also offer a parkingplace in the garage when you book. So you don't have to worry about finding a spot. The view from the balcony was just like the pictures, wonderful.
We had a wonderful time at Hotel Continental. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They even treated my husband and me to a bottle of champagne as we were celebrating our honeymoon. Such a kind surprise! Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring Bastia and taking buses to the airport as well as other places in Corsica (like Saint Florent and the beaches!) We are so grateful to the staff for making our time in Bastia so wonderful!
Algajola
Very nice staff, management and owner. Nicely decorated, practical apartments fully equipped with a modern kitchen. Family friendly yet chic. Wonderful beach a 2 minute stroll from the hotel. Excellent restaurants in & around Algajola. This place reminds me of Camps Bay, South Africa but with a more pleasant water temperature. Super EV friendly place with Type2 as well as standard power outlets made available. Without a doubt the best accommodation during our 15 day road trip around Corsica 😃👍
Ajaccio
I loved the room, bathroom, and common area. The whole apartment is sparkling clean and the A/C worked very well. The Rosie has to be commanded for the friendliest welcome! Françoise was so nice! She gave me great tips about the area and really made sure I had all I needed and more. The whole Rosie family is wonderful and I can’t thank them enough for making my first days in Corsica so welcoming. Merci, merci, merci! I really appreciated all you did!
Location was excellent, especially if one is traveling to Corsica by boat with a car. Between the port and the town. Hotel parking enable us to conveniently leave our car without worry. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast area is bright with natural light. And they offer two type of breakfast menu. A light one with coffee and some viennoiseries+ fruit. Or a buffet breakfast. Perfect for those who start the day light or, on a full stomach.
The hotel is very beautiful. We got there early and were allowed to already get into our room. The building is a beautiful mix between old walls and modern infrastructure. We slept in three hotels in corsica, and we had by far the best night sleep in this hotel: comfortable bed, true darkness at night a functional airconditioning that is truly silent at night. Furthermore it was close to the city center, so ideal for exploring ajaccio a bit.
We stayed at this hotel during the first two nights of our trip around Corsica. The hotel is located between the city and the airport. The historic centre of Bastia is a 30 minute walk. Hotel rooms are nice and clean, although ours only had a small window that overlooked a parking lot (I expect that there are some rooms that overlook the sea). I liked the restaurant that served nice Corsican dishes, and its terrace in the front yard.
Great breakfast in a very nice setting outside in the shade near the pool. The room size is also brilliant and the bathroom is laid out wonderfully with separate sink, toilet, and shower areas. A bonus is that the car can be parked in an abundance of space close to the apartment. It all felt very Corsican, which is I am sure what most people want. Air conditioning was as expected, despite not spending much time in the room.
I came to Corsica to hike the GR20. This Hotel is in Calvi . Near the beginning of the trail. The Hotel serves a great breakfast and offers full dinners. The staff is extremely helpful and the Hotel is perfectly located to enjoy Calvi’s beautiful beach and shopping and dining options. A great place, I stayed 2 days at the beginning of my vacation a 2 days at the end. I can highly recommend this hotel.
I must highlight two things which we really like. At the first breakfast (I recommend to order a breakfast, because they were really good - Corsican ham, cheese, fresh bread and also some Corsican jam - all of very good quality, not some cheap food). Secondly the Hotel has a good location - quite close to the old town, but not so close so you will be disturbed at night by night life.
Porto-Vecchio
Everything! The location was perfect. They have everything you’d need. Three pools. A full kitchen etc. it was very comfortable and a beautiful location. Easy five minute drive in to Porto Vecchio and near the nicest beaches in Corsica. We particularly liked Santa Giulia. The service and hotel owner was also very accommodating and helpful. We look forward to returning next year!
Charming hotel with an amazing pool, 10 minutes walk from one of the best beaches of all Corsica. Really nice breakfast full of homemade local products as well as in the restaurant. Ultimately the highlight for us was the service, Tiffany and her team were extremely helpful, kind, always with a smile and ready to fulfill any requests. We’ll definitely go back!
Bonifacio
Sensational apartment in a rare nature setting near the beautiful town of Bonifacio in Corsica. The staff was very sweet and friendly; we were even allowed to charge our car at no additional cost! Breakfast was great, the walking distance to Bonfacio was about 45 min along the wild coast line - spectacular! Will never forget this one and definitely come back!
located up on a hill overlooking the main town. A very nice hotel with a pool and breakfast option. It is very hard to reach from the train station if using Maps software as they route you up a non paved rocky road, that is almost like going hiking. and if you have luggage, good luck. Try to take a taxi, but they are hard to find and expensive in Corsica.
Wonderful, authentic, and delightful experience at Chez Marie for the one night I was there. Fun vintage hotel design, comfortable beds, friendly staff, dinner service was one of the best we had in our two weeks in Corsica. Lovely breakfast as well. Close to beautiful beaches along the east coast. A unique experience, highly recommend and hope to return.
Nice location in "the midst of it all" in a pedestrian zone which one can access by car to drop off luggage using a QR code that the hotel sends before arrival. Despite being in the midst of Ajaccio, the street facing room was quiet to sleep in. Nicely air conditioned. A relaxing stay in a super central part of Corsica's capital.
The apartment was newly renovated (in a lovely old building), very clean and spacious for the two of us, great a/c, with well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms and mostly comfortable furniture, plus very reliable wifi (not always the case in Corsica). The hosts were immediately helpful in dealing with our problems.
The hotel is very nice with a beautiful pool, gorgeous settings, comfortable and large rooms. Excellent breakfast. The staff is there to help with your stay and offer advice. Beach is a 10 minutes walk. you can also drive to the beach instead. The hotel is located next to the most beautiful beach on corsica
