The Maquis is a real old world experience. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a private balcony and a lovely view across the bay to Ajaccio. Fabulous outdoor and indoor pools and lovely gardens. Staff and welcoming and very helpful. The fine dining experience was excellent. Plenty of free parking. Only hotel with a private beach - unfortunately it was raining so didnt have a chance to visit.

Porticcio is very touristy, it has a beach yes (but a very urban view), can get crowded. There are other beaches 10-15minutes drive from apartment that should be explored and have nice views.
We visited A Cupulata - turtle mini zoo which was a nice experience just 25 min drive.
The best supermarkets are outside Ajacio, like Carrefour, Eleclerc and Geant Casino, I found the small supermarkets near Porticcio more expensive.

Beautiful beaches, but quite expensive. No buses to move around. Be careful with taxis. A ride airport hotel could be 45 eur-80 eur for less than 15 min ride. To move from one hotel to another one in the same area (2 km distance) the ride was 20 eur and ee waited for 1 hour to get the taxi. The driver told us taxis are not interested in short / cheap rides. Restaurants and hotels are expensive

Hotel is clean and spacious, rooms are large. We had a suite and premium double, both overlooking the see. Sunsets were fantastic.
Breakfast was good, large selection for everyone's taste.
Location is great, across from a wonderful beach, with a number of restaurants close by as well as a well stocked supermarket.
Pool was fantastic for the kids. Even when the poolwas busy, there was plenty of room in the pool and loungers.
The family run hotel was superb. The owners plus staff were so welcoming and helpful and even took us to the airport as had boxed bikes.
Location superb, stunning views. Breakfast delicious. Highly recommend staying here. We so enjoyed it! Thankyou 🙏
