Els Jardins de la Martana can be found in the historic centre of Besalú, next to the famous Romanesque bridge. It has free Wi-Fi and mountain views. Quite the immediate spot to stay, situated at one end of a historical town. This town is kind of like the crown jewel of the area but what made it much better was the very sweet staff that worked at this hotel.

Casa Marcial (adults only) is located in the beautiful town of Besalú, just 100 metres from the mediaeval bridge. This property offers a garden with an outdoor pool and great views. Frukosten var mycket bra. Färskpressad apelsinjuice varje morgon! Extra plus för att man fick en vattenflaska att ta med. Mysig "trädgård" med pool. Personalen var väldigt tillmötesgående när det gällde att berätta om omgivningarna och att boka bord på restaurang.

La Fustana ligger i Maia de Montcal och har en säsongsöppen utomhuspool, en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Hotel Rural & Spa Mas Prat ligger i bergsstaden Castellar de la Muntanya, strax utanför naturreservatet Garrotxa. Detta lanthus har en restaurang och rum med egen balkong. Great location with an amazing view. Very friendly owners and staff. Nice, small spa area with sauna. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and with a big terrace. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend it to everyone.
