Quite the immediate spot to stay, situated at one end of a historical town. This town is kind of like the crown jewel of the area but what made it much better was the very sweet staff that worked at this hotel.

The lady at the reception desk was just the most lovely and polite receptionist ever. The room was quite large and beautiful . Thru our room windows we viewed the garden and a lovely old church.

A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Hotel Rural & Spa Mas Prat is located in the mountain town of Castellar de la Muntanya, just outside the Garrotxa Nature Reserve. Great location with an amazing view. Very friendly owners and staff. Nice, small spa area with sauna. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and with a big terrace. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend it to everyone.

This cozy property occupies two houses from the XV century surrounded by beautiful countryside and situated just behind the city walls of the 'old town' in Santa Pau. The staff was really friendly. The room and the place were very nice. The breakfast was also very good.

Sant Jaume de Llierca
If you want to have a splendid, clean and modern rural house in a beautiful area of Spain, look no further. In real life the house is even better than the photos. It comes with a very spacious garden with great views of the surrounding hills and mountains. Moreover, the owners were very helpful and friendly and provided small beds for our children. Lots of activities are available in close proximity to the house (garrotxa national park, Besalú, Sant Pau, beach, Girona etc.). Overall: excellent
Castellfollit de la Roca
JUST PERFECT! Fully equipped, very big apartment in the ground level of an old built of stone house in perfect location within Castelfollit. Romantic balcony with great view around the area. Big and modern kitchen, living-, bed- and bathroom. The village is astonishingly beautiful and it's a great place to start tours into the Garrotxa. The landlady is super uncomplicated and friendly, everything was very clean. TOTAL RECOMMENDATION!

The owners bought the place an hand made it into the hotel. They are living in the house as well. everything os thought of well and made very nice into country style rooms. The host is very friendly and serves plenty of a delicious breakfast consisting of traditional Garrotxa food, fressh orange juice, homemade bread and strong coffee. The location is very good. Very quite in the green (the other side of the road is the border of Garrotxa NP) not to far from Olot Centre. Located between 2 great restaurants so allows you to walk back to the hotel after a delicious diner. The breakfast was good and staff very friendly.

The apartment has everything you need, and it is nice and cozy. Location is great, in the old quarter of the village, and it is really close to everything you want to explore at la Garrotxa: la Fageda d'en Jordà, gorgs a les Planes d'Hostoles..

The hostel delivers what it promises: A place to stay and a nice view. I was travelling with three kids so I only had a walk around town, dinner and breakfast. It’s a good starting point for visiting the La Garrotxa national park.

Great value during Easter week compared with alternative accommodations in the area. Perfect location for hiking in the Volcanic area of Garrotxa. They let us store our bikes in the kitchen warehouse at the back of the hotel.

Everything. It was peaceful, cozy and very safe for toddlers. Its perfect to disconnect with your family if you have kids. The bar is open all day long and the food is very tasty. We will definitely come back.
Very good value for the money spent and good food in the hotel. A nice change after travelling through France where the prices are 30-50% higher for everything and the habitation which we stayed in France was terrible compared to returning to Spain. Also the food in France horrible and unhealthy. Bread shops everywhere- terrible expensive food!
