Curtains make it perfectly dark, they have both regular and ergonomic pillows on the bed, amazing breakfast with proper tea selection and set-up for the non-coffee-drinkers, which is rare. The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel located on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. -- The staff is incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly! -- We had booked the Deluxe Room which felt somewhat small for a week long stay. It is definitely worth it to pay extra for the view towards the Alster. -- We had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights in the Executive Suite which was super comfortable and provided an amazing experience! When we come again, we will book the Suite instead of the room. --The hotel is very serene and beautifully located along the Alster which allowed for evening strolls and a very relaxing stay. -- Everything is kept in immaculate condition! The hotel is a 'feast for the eyes'! -- The Parkview restaurant offers a business lunch option and an interesting dinner selection. -- We had booked out stay with breakfast. The buffet offered a great selection in addition to items that could be ordered from a menu as well.
