Very nicely decorated guesthouse with a beautiful inner yard. It is located about 15 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. There are some good restaurants around. The beds were comfortable and the room spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Staff are absolutely lovely and friendly. We will remember their smiles.

It's a perfect place to explore Mindelo. It's quiet because not fully in the center yet very close to the beach. The absolute highlight for us was the staff that cared extremely well for us while my wife was a bit sick -- it feels so good in those moment to be around nice and caring people. We will always come back to Luna if we get to Mindelo.

The apartment was big, modern, had AC and was very close to the beach. The hosts were amazing and helped us with our requests! They even got in touch with locals so that we could have an authentic experience of São Vicente. If you book here, don’t hesitate to ask anything, and they will be able to provide. They also work with local associations that give back to the community. Highly recommend to get in touch with Turtle House. They offer a great experience swimming with turtles, whilst giving back to the local community. This stay was perfect!
I recently stayed at this fantastic hotel located right in the central square of the city with my son. Its prime location made exploring the main tourist attractions incredibly convenient, as everything was just a short walk away. There was no need for taxis or other transportation to reach nearby restaurants and services. The convenience of being in the heart of the city, combined with the excellent and comfortable rooms, made for a top stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of São Vicente.

The experience has been great!!! The apartment is in the city centre. The apartment is very confortable and near every interested places in Mindelo. Jordy is a perfect guide and host. I visited with him some places with music and cultural life. He is a tour guide in Santo Antao and I hired him for two days on the island. The experience has been wonderful. He knows Santo antao and Sao Vicente very well. I recommend you stay in this apartment, you will live a Cape Verde different from the typical tourist one.
Absolutely reliable and wonderful staff. For whatever reason I approached the property, I received a prompt answer. I travelled to Sao Vicente, stayed two nights in the hotel, took the ferry to Santo Antao, and returned to this property. I could leave my suitcase there, and, after my return. I was already placed in my room, the same I had occupied before. Great, very clean room, quiet, very nice breakfast. I could not praise this hotel more! Will would return, if ever I returned to Sao Vicente.

The apartment is very spacious and clean and in a quiet and safe location near the city center. The real highlight is host Ivan. He went out of his way to make sure his guests enjoy Mindelo and the island of Sao Vicente. The first night he took us on a city tour and the also sent a list of good restaurants and places to see. He really knows everything about the island and is super responsive. Definitely recommend to stay here when in Sao Vicente!

I can't thank enough Sylvia who is an expert in Cape Verde and helped me with planning both my visit to Sao Vicente and organised my trip to Santo Antao. Also the place is charity, extra reason to support their work with stray animals. I booked a private room with shared bathroom, I had a very comfortable stay
We stayed at this hotel twice as we visited both the island of Sao Vicente and then Santo Antao. The hotel is comfortable with a good location and view to the ocean. During the last stay we stayed in the appartment on the 4th floor as we travelled with our youngsters (even though we had booked 2 separate rooms).
Celestine and Carlos's apartment was fantastic! They were very friendly and picked us up from the airport. The kitchen has everything that you need, the apartment is very clean and the bed is comfy! We loved Sao Vicente and would stay here again

The room is clean and comfortable. There is a terrace in the second floor which is really pleasant. The restaurant downstairs is great. They have really good food. The included breakfast has plenty of options and it is delicious. We had dinner one night and it was also delicious. There was also live music from 8 to 10pm Staff is kind and friendly It is a 10 min walk to the ferry terminal

Excellent place to stay if you're on a budget. The Basic Hotel is indeed, as the name literally says, basic, but it's a really great basic, with super friendly staff, a clean room, an ensuite bathroom, wifi, and a great breakfast. It went far beyond my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone.
