We really enjoyed this wonderful hotel with a fantastic view to the Atlantic ocean and the sound of the waves all day and night. Beautiful deco in the hotel, a very engaged owner and very friendly staff. The rooms are large with balconys both facing the ocean and the mountains. We had one of both as were travelling with our youngsters. The hotel is located in the small town of Pombas and you can easily walk to other cafes and small restaurants. And the location is excellent if you are in Santo Antao for trecking.

Alfa-Apartamento in Paul is a hidden gem! The apartment was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with stunning views of the valley and mountains. The location is perfect for exploring Santo Antão’s incredible hiking trails, and the hosts were amazing—so welcoming and helpful with tips on what to do and where to eat. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and feels like home. If you’re heading to Paul, this is the place to stay. Can’t recommend it enough!

The best part of the trip to cabo verde was the days we spent in Casa Cavoquinho. Everything is taken care of in detail to make the stay perfect. In addition to the location very convenient to start hiking, the views of the valley from the hotel, the decoration/cleaness/comfort of the room, the kindness of the employees, the quality of the breakfast and dinner. I can say is one of the best stays I have ever had. 100% recommended if you are planning a trip to Santo Antão.

Beautiful room in a very nice, new apartment building. Pombas is a great location to stay in the beautiful Paul Valley to do hikes during the day and to enjoy a lovely dinner in town or at the host's place! We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the daily variety in breakfast every day and the interaction with our host. Not only could he advice about the hikes you could do, but he also told us about life in Santo Antao.

This place is absolutely fantastic. By far the best stay in Santo Antao. Location is perfect with a view of the sea and a picturesque abandoned airport. Staff is sincerely friendly, relaxed and they also speak english. Hotel level room was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable bed I have experienced on S. Antao. Fabuluos breakfast, also best I've had (so far) on S. Antao, hence, stayed in six guesthouses.

Everything was absolutely perfect, this is the best place I’ve stayed in in Cape Verde and I’ve visited plenty of islands! From the kindest, 24/7 available staff, to the magical location, the great quality of everything in the apartment, view, wide space, nice breakfast, available extras, excellent cleaning, flexible check in and out, everything! I will stay here every time I visit Santo Antao for sure!

Oasis Paul is an amazing location with fabulous people who do everything they can to provide a fantastic experience. It is a haven. The garden is an idyllic hideaway and it would be easy to miss from the main road but that's part of its charm. If you're visiting Cape Verde, you must come to Santo Antao and you MUST visit Oasis in Paul. Thank you Marco and your family for a great adventure.

Liana is such an inspiration and is passionate about giving her guests the best experience of Santo Antao. Her hotel is welcoming, quirky, characterful and very comfortable. The food is home cooked and it was a joy to have such excellent vegetarian meals during our stay. Liana gave us great advice for a trek nearby which was absolutely amazing. The location was amazing, easy to get everywhere around! The view of Ribeira Grande from the top of the apartment’s terrace was stunning! The apartment was super clean, super comfortable. Silvia was absolutely welcoming and such a nice person to get to meet, we couldn’t wish for a more perfect place to spend our last days in Santo Antão!

Excellent location, in the middle of a beautiful valley, with views of the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. The dinner is really excellent, really no reason to go elsewhere. Beautiful stone cottages scattered around the property, with plenty of space to relax as well, in a very green corner of Santo Antao.

The hosts were very nice and friendly. I had a very nice time hiking around Santo Antão and the location of the hotel is not far away from Ribiera Grande. Amazing breakfast each morning before a long day of exploring

Very simple but cute hostel in the nature, at the beginning of one of the most beautiful hikes in Santo Antão. Yummy breakfast with homemade cakes. Friendly staff.

Nice location, friendly people, delicious food. The hotel had a pool which the kids enjoyed. Next time we visit Santo Antão, we will come back here again 😊

Ideal spot end of the Ponta Do Sol - Cruzinha walk. The rooms much brighter then the dull pics show on Booking. They did a nice dinner for us upon request. Staff set us up with shared auger for the next morning to get us to Rabiera Grande.

nice welcome, location is central, a little bit hidden but really quite and in the middle of the nature, u can hear the ocean and the breakfast on the terrace is amazing and good, the room was clean and more i expected! all in all a perfect stay!

The location is great, with view of the ocean and close to the center of the town. Nice breakfast, different every morning. The room was large and well equipped.
