Everyone in this apartment was super friendly, polite and well mannered. We stayed at room Caju which offered breathtaking views every morning. They offered complimentary breakfast each morning which was delicious. It is a family owned place, I got the change to meet the owner who was very humble and sweet. This place was not far from the city nor other towns. location of it was perfect, I cannot wait to come back and stay here again.

Great location in front of the beach and on top of it, it was a pleasure staying there and sleeping with the sound of the waves ! It's also very convenient to do all the hikes as a lot of collectivos (transport) goes from there thus we didn't need any car All the staff without exception were kind and amazing, helping us plan and organize our trip with tips and always there to answer our questions and provide assistance (thank you Jovi !) They also borrowed us sticks for hikes which saved our stay ! As we were planning to rent upon arrival in local shops but didn't find any Due to flight cancellation, we have not been charged the first night which was much appreciated Breakfast is very good and consistent

Virtually nothing to see at Porto Novo, it's the only arrival/departure point on Santo Antao. From here one can hire a taxi to the crater and walk across it and then descend towards Paul on the other side of the island. I did it in 4 hours.It can be done in reverse direction but climbing from Paul up must be extremely exhausting.
Great place for hikers. If you're not, then not so much. Very steep paths which is a challenge for people who are not used to walk a lot. The views are amazing. The valley's, krater and villages are amazing and a must see if you visit Santo Antao.
Santo Antao is a stunning island with friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere. It is especially recommended for the many beautiful and challenging hikes.
Don't miss Paul if you go to Santo Antao. This beautiful valley is the starting point for scenic excursions yet very quiet and off the beaten track.
Didn' stay too long in Ponta do Sol as we were travelling around the whole island with a car.Be careful with the only car rental in Santo Antao as you are entitled only for 100 km per day and any extra km will cost you 35 cve or around 0.32 euro. We had to drove around 250 km in a day, but you could spread it out over several days. Go to the far west route of the island.
We really enjoyed this wonderful hotel with a fantastic view to the Atlantic ocean and the sound of the waves all day and night. Beautiful deco in the hotel, a very engaged owner and very friendly staff. The rooms are large with balconys both facing the ocean and the mountains. We had one of both as were travelling with our youngsters. The hotel is located in the small town of Pombas and you can easily walk to other cafes and small restaurants. And the location is excellent if you are in Santo Antao for trecking.

Our stay in Bentub home was one of our favourite things from santo antao island! The owner is very nice and welcoming, the dinners in the house are excellent and the food is adapted for all types of guests (we are all vegan). The location is ideal and every morning we took the colectivos to reach the different treks. We loved it so much we stayed for one day more than planned. Definitely the most comfortable and delicious stay we had in Cape verde!!! Fully fully recommended!!!!

The best part of the trip to cabo verde was the days we spent in Casa Cavoquinho. Everything is taken care of in detail to make the stay perfect. In addition to the location very convenient to start hiking, the views of the valley from the hotel, the decoration/cleaness/comfort of the room, the kindness of the employees, the quality of the breakfast and dinner. I can say is one of the best stays I have ever had. 100% recommended if you are planning a trip to Santo Antão.
Ponta do Sol
This place is absolutely fantastic. By far the best stay in Santo Antao. Location is perfect with a view of the sea and a picturesque abandoned airport. Staff is sincerely friendly, relaxed and they also speak english. Hotel level room was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable bed I have experienced on S. Antao. Fabuluos breakfast, also best I've had (so far) on S. Antao, hence, stayed in six guesthouses.

Everything was absolutely perfect, this is the best place I’ve stayed in in Cape Verde and I’ve visited plenty of islands! From the kindest, 24/7 available staff, to the magical location, the great quality of everything in the apartment, view, wide space, nice breakfast, available extras, excellent cleaning, flexible check in and out, everything! I will stay here every time I visit Santo Antao for sure!
Oasis Paul is an amazing location with fabulous people who do everything they can to provide a fantastic experience. It is a haven. The garden is an idyllic hideaway and it would be easy to miss from the main road but that's part of its charm. If you're visiting Cape Verde, you must come to Santo Antao and you MUST visit Oasis in Paul. Thank you Marco and your family for a great adventure.

The location was amazing, easy to get everywhere around! The view of Ribeira Grande from the top of the apartment’s terrace was stunning! The apartment was super clean, super comfortable. Silvia was absolutely welcoming and such a nice person to get to meet, we couldn’t wish for a more perfect place to spend our last days in Santo Antão!
An absolutely must when visiting Santo Antao. Beautiful hostel, with an amazing atmosphere, and Liana, who is the owner was amazing. From the food to advise about where to go and what to do. It was a great base to go hiking in the area, and we ended up staying for 5 days. Absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend to stay here!

Excellent location, in the middle of a beautiful valley, with views of the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. The dinner is really excellent, really no reason to go elsewhere. Beautiful stone cottages scattered around the property, with plenty of space to relax as well, in a very green corner of Santo Antao.
Ponta do Sol
This hotel in Ponta do Sol is just incredible. Guillaume and the whole team are very friendly. The view from the (public) balcony is great. I really recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to Santo Antao…:-) Obrigado!

Very simple but cute hostel in the nature, at the beginning of one of the most beautiful hikes in Santo Antão. Yummy breakfast with homemade cakes. Friendly staff.
Nice location, friendly people, delicious food. The hotel had a pool which the kids enjoyed. Next time we visit Santo Antão, we will come back here again 😊

The staff was incredible. We had to leave very early to catch the boat and the staff brought our breakfast in the evening for the morning. Really nice of them. The apartment was big and clean. We had two rooms. Perfect location and beautiful surroundings.
The location is great, with view of the ocean and close to the center of the town. Nice breakfast, different every morning. The room was large and well equipped.
