The bed was great! Super comfortable and private. The staff was always kind and ready to help. The location is amazing, just a 3min walk away from the beach. The food was incredible as well.

Finca Avellanas ligger i Playa Avellana, 2 km från Avellanas Beach, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård och gratis privat parkering. This place is definitely to rest and recharge. The A.C. in the room was awesome and the beds out of this world; king size and super comfy. The pool is also refreshing and Daniela the girl that tour us the place is very sweet. However, if you are looking for luxury and resort like activities, this is not the place for you, but for people that are looking for a place to be in peace and comfortable this is it.

Situated in Sámara, 1 km from Samara Beach, Tuki Tuki Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk and room service for guests. I spent the last three nights of my trip at Tuki Tuki lodge and would come back in a heartbeat. JP gave me a warm welcome, even took a short tour of the city in a TukTuk and showed me the most important landmarks. Since the lodge is a little out of the way, it is very quiet, but even as a woman I felt safe walking back from the city in the dark. JP also gave me the bike to use freely, which made the distance even shorter. The room was clean and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared to order every morning and was very tasty. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Soul Shine is the best accommodation choice in the Playa Avellanas area. The cabinas are spacious and clean with comfortable beds, good WiFi, air conditioning and a mini-fridge. The pool is a gorgeous place to relax and the grounds are laden with lush tropical flowers and vegetation. The location is amazing - Avellanas beach is a short walk away, and so are many great restaurants, including Barumis (burgers), Lola’s, La Parruja, and La Esquina, a community space with tacos, sushi, cocktails and other tasty food (visit the public market there on Friday nights for local vendors and live music). You can also walk next door and get some gelato! Owners Yael and Roee are the ultimate hosts and will ensure your stay is as perfect as possible. You really are part of the family when you’re here. And a Soul Shine review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning their delicious brunch! This place serves up some of the best food you’ll find in the area – even in all of Costa Rica. Authentic menu items such as shakshuka, Gypsy King, falafels and avocado toast are all served hot and fresh with crispy salad and yummy tapas on the side. The fresh bread is served warm and melts in your mouth! Soul Shine has everything you need for a perfect stay in the Playa Avellanas/Playa Negra area – comfortable rooms, attentive hosts, amazing food and close to the beach and restaurants. I travel a lot and I don't think I've met friendlier or more helpful hosts at this hotel. Due to a shortage of rental cars throughout Costa Rica, I was without transportation when I arrived at the hotel. Jeffrey and Shirley gave me a ride to downtown Tamarindo and even took time from their busy schedule to provide a personal tour of the town. Shirley even arranged an Uber taxi for me to travel to my next stop at Coco Beach. They are renovating the hotel and it is now modern, clean and reasonably priced.

Cabañas Lamaite ligger i Sámara, mindre än 1 km från Buena Vista strand, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en terrass. We absolutely loved our stay here. The garden and wooden apartment are so beautiful and cosy. Everything well maintained. The swimming pool was really great given the temperatures and humidity in the rainy season. The host Maité is so kind as well and any questions are quickly answered. We didn’t realise when making our booking that there are only two apartments so there is a lot of privacy and quiet though the host lives on the property too so always nearby if needed. The walk to town is definitely doable (about 20min) which we did a couple of times but a car is convenient as well. We saw howler monkeys in the trees nearby, lots of birds, coatis and lizards nearby and there lives a scarlet macaw and crocodiles nearby (which unfortunately we didn’t get to see). In short: just book it, you won’t regret.
