English-speaking owners who are most welcoming. They helped me with booking the boat trip and all my enquiries. Rooms are quite big and clean. All in all: Great stay.

Riverside Retreat Hotel ligger omgitt av bambusskog og landbruksområder, og har utsikt over den vakre Li-elven. Hotellet har et utendørsbasseng, solterrasse og en stilfull restaurant med fjellutsikt. The room is large and recently renewed. The bed and pillows were very comfy, the shower had very warm water for the cold days. The staff is very friendly and smiley. There is western and Chinese breakfast, and we wanted a local chicken dish which they cooked for us.

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. Atmosfæren er veldig god. Located in Yangshuo, 4.6 km from Darongshu Scenic Area, Lanshan Moon Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.
