Ms. Michelle's dedication to customer service, her positive and caring attitude set a high bar in every aspect one could wish for. She and her staff excelled. From tour planning, to finding the right detergent against those hot sauces stains, to sending letters off. From Breakfast to ice cold beer to door to door special food delivery. One would have to go the upper level accomodations like a classic Hilton or Sheraton to find such professional service. The food fresh prepared caters more to the western taste, I would recommend the Chinese breakfast, but continental is available. All dinner choices are reasonable priced. The chef knows her kitchen, everything is impeccable clean. So was the room. I was offered an upcrade at the lake side hotel. The view was stunning. Water, tea was available and a decent coffee. Try the walk around the river follow the red road, join the TaiJii group in the morning, for excursion ask Michelle. Here I would like to recommend Jia Jia as the driver of your choice. What is maybe laking in English he more than makes up in his quite way how he takes care of you. Yes good value, and fair price.

Located in Yangshuo, The Bamboo Leaf Yangshuo offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. We really liked the Bamboo Leaf Hotel and the staff, especially Vivianne who helped us with booking tours and borrowing scooters and bikes. She is super friendly, kind, caring, efficient and speaks excellent English which helped us so much! The whole staff was very friendly and helped look after all our needs! We would highly recommend this beautiful, clean, well-designed high-end hotell for the value, incredible service and mostly the delightful staff working here! We would love to stay again if our travels bring us to Yangshuo! Thank you so much from 2 happy Canadians! ,😁🇨🇦

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel features a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 1.2 mi from downtown Guilin. The location of this hotel is well situated on the outskirts of Guilin city. It has several attractions within a walkable distance, such as Reed Flute Cave, but it is also a drivable within an hour and a half to major tourist sites like Longji rice terraces to the north and Yangshou county to the south. It is also within a cozy village, and we explored the local restaurants in the first day. The friendly owner of the establishment went above and beyond in service, responded through text quickly to arrange private tours to the places we wanted to go. We were picked up from the train station when we arrived at Guilin and transported back at the end of the trip. Breakfast options range from homemade local guilin rice noodles with fruit to a more western style option if preferred. Bed was comfortable with working wifi and AC. I was expecially impressed by the small things, how when we came back from a long day of touring the owner would always have fresh fruit waiting for us, how the towels and complimentary water would be refilled and waiting for us on our return, and how we were given a bag with snacks and other items for our trip home. If you are looking for a relaxed, local experience with good service that serves as a base to set off to see all Guilin has to offer, then I can't recommend this place enough.

The location is fantastic with beautiful views. The view from our patio was spectacular. We rented scooters to easily get to west street and back which was very convenient and fun! Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city center. Small hotel run by a couple of friendly woman. They kept our big luggage for 4 nights while we went to the rice fields and then to Yangshuo. Easy to communicate as they speak English, which believe me, is not something you can take for granted in China, not even in touristy areas. For this reason alone, I think this is probably the best hotel to stay at if you don’t like the hassle.

Beihai is a beautiful coastal city in Guangxi, with a few good things to see. It is however not frequented much by westerners. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.
Guilin itself is really pretty, but it's best as a jumping off point for other places in Guangxi, like Yangshuo. A very nice place to walk around at night with the lakes and river all lit up.
You know Yangshuo is a pearl of the Guangxi. I don't want to give spoilers-it's absolutely amazing. Just go there and enjoy all those gorgeous views. Relax in those mountains, do rest in the Terraced Rice Fields. Don't forget to climb to the Xianggong Mountain. And imagine yourself a tea farmer. Go the the river trip from Yangdi to Ma Mountain. Go to swimming in the Lijiang or Yulong River. And these are not all the things that you should see in Yangshuo. As for choosing the place where to stay-in Yangshuo or Guilin-I highly recommend Yangshuo.
It was an incredible experience visiting the beautiful Guangxi scenery, new hotel in the perfect location, special mention to the hospitality from the owner and all the staffs, they serve with heart and very helpful, our family like all the food they serve. Will stay here again for my next visit.
Great hotel very comfortable amazing view on the pagoda and lots of food options near by The waterfall show on the left side of the hotel is something very special every evening at 8:30 The rooms are big ,bed comfortable, nice bathroom with automatic toilets.
Beautiful building and sorroundings, excellent food, overall had a great stay. Highly recommended to international visitors and first timers as the staff will take care of everything for you. A special thanks to the girl at the reception who spoke excellent English and really went out of her way to help me.
This hotel is amazing in every way. The location is perfect as it is only a short drive to the main town with plenty of shops and restaurants (West Street) and can be reached easily by using DiDi or the hotel will help you but it is on a quiet road opposite the river with hiking/biking paths. Along these paths are numerous little pop up coffee shops, including 2 right opposite the hotel. The hotel has bikes you can hire. The staff went over and above to make our stay perfect. They are all so friendly and helpful and really care about their guests. Suzy and the rest of the staff arranged tickets and drivers to Xing Ping Ancient town, the Sanjie Liu Night Show and Ruyi Peak Cable Car. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and the beds extremely comfortable, they even had electric blankets. The views from the rooms are just incredible. This hotel was absolutely perfect for our trip and I can’t wait to come back.
It’s location, layout and landscape
The Giggling Tree was just perfect! It is an amazing hotel - friendly and welcoming, lovely room with amazing views, wonderful staff and restaurant. Laura was simply brilliant and made some great food recommendations. Eating in the quaint courtyard restaurant area was perfect, especially the Beer fish from the Lijiang River! Great dumplings too! And the pool was a nice bonus with fantastic views. Good bicycles to rent and trips/taxis can be organised. We'd love to return again one day - the scenery is simply unforgettable! Thank you Laura! The place is located in countryside, very calm area. Great place to take a bicycle and visit nearby fields, villages and experience beautiful of yangshuo! Personnel is super friendly and helpful. Easy to communicate in English :) if you want to get some recommendations just ask and they organize and explain you everything! It was fantastic time!
Everything. We spent a great time at Baike Hotel. Wonderful position and stunning views. This wooden pearl was selected as 2019 top small hotels in china and we can understand why. The hotel offers an excellent restaurant with delicious home made dishes. Wifi was very good. Our room was wonderful and super clean. Jason, the host, has been incredible nice and helpful since the very beginning, making easier our stay and giving great advices to enjoy the experience in the rice terraces. He took great care of us!
