Set in Guilin and with Guilin Railway Station reachable within 600 metres, Travel light inn Guilin offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and... English-speaking owners who are most welcoming. They helped me with booking the boat trip and all my enquiries. Rooms are quite big and clean. All in all: Great stay.

Located in Yangshuo, The Bamboo Leaf Yangshuo offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. It's a splendid place with very helpful employees. It was the only place we stayed which offered also very good European food.

Normally I don't do extensive reviews, I limit myself to saying whether or not it is what they offer, but I think this accommodation deserves it. If you want to stay in a beautiful place, and with special attention, this is your hotel. Although it is not in the tourist center, the Didi (Chinese Uber) service is easy and around10 minutes away from moon and sun pagodas, with a cost of aprox 15 yuan (2€). The place is VERY beautiful, quiet and it is also within walking distance of one of the typical visits, the Reed Flute Cave, just 15/20 minutes along a hiking trail next to the river. The area is beautiful to walk and has its own restaurants. The bed was super comfortable, and in my case I appreciated that tranquility and relaxed aesthetic, since China is very stimulating throughout the day. But what I liked most was the attention of the owner, super friendly and helpful. The stay included transfer from the north station by taxi, breakfast offering us if we preferred the traditional noodles of the area or coffee, toast, yogurt... He offered us fruit upon arrival, and to leave he prepared us fruit, water and even a gift. It's seems that it is a family business and I hope it prospers and does very well.

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. Perfect location with really great views to the mountains. The host was very supportive, they took very good care of our staying. Highly recommended

El Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, abans conegut com Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, es troba al centre de la ciutat, just davant de 2 rius i 4 llacs. If you are looking to enjoy what Guilin has to offer, do not hesitate to book this hotel. Everything was excellent, and I was made to feel very welcome. The receptionist "Juuga(?)" was most polite, kind hearted and helpful; sending me various locations of spots to go (pagodas, flute reed cave, night markets, famous goose restaurant, lakes / elephant trunk hill) and helping me set up the Yangshuo cruise tour. I would not have enjoyed Guilin as much as I did had I not come to this hotel - I would've been clueless. I also have an extremely cut figure at the moment and am on a ketogenic diet, they prepared breakfasts for me as well to meet my needs, which was included in the price. The room was beautiful, cosy and warm.

Located in Yangshuo, 4.6 km from Darongshu Scenic Area, Lanshan Moon Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.
