Vögeli Alpenhotel Malbun is located in the center of Malbun ski area, 7.5 mi from the city Vaduz. It is the oldest hotel in Malbun. It was an absolute joy to stay here. Since it was during summer, the weather was great but generally, the small town was not as populated as it seems to be during winter time for the skiing season. - The staff is so incredibly nice and attentive. - So quiet and calm environment all around. - Since there weren't that many people, I got a bigger room, it was spacious and nice. - The bathroom was very nicely taken care of and squeaky clean. - Breakfast was top-notch. Not too much, but plenty of options to choose from and top-quality ingredients. They also source some foods locally. - Restaurant for lunch/dinner: I ate there twice, and it was amazing. - Transportation: using the bus system in the country is as easy as it should be everywhere else. The bus stop is literally on the other corner across from the hotel. - Cable cars that go to the top are easily reachable on foot.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in mid-June as it was conveniently located for our planned hikes - about a 25-minute walk to the Sargans train station and a nearby stop for a bus direct to the station if we didn't care for the walk. The rooms were quite large and very clean. But it was the exceptional hospitality of the staff that really recommends staying here. It will definitely be our first choice the next time we're staying in Heidiland.
Peaceful location and easy access for the spa and the golf course. Very helpful & friendly staff. Restaurant at the Chateau is very convenient. The walk into town is not too far though. Swimming pool is just next to the annex apartments. Maienfeld and Heidiland also within walking distance. Pizolbahn is just a short bus ride.

Big clean room, super breakfast and very good restaurant
Loved everything. But a bit far to the skiing slope. Need to walk up a steep slope with my boards and it was quite tiring. However, the hotel was really amazing! Loved the warm staff and there was a luggage room and a room for ski equipments. Love it! The breakfast was good!
We stayed here 12 years ago. We're happy to stay here again. There were a lot of changes, but we're happy to see they maintained the same atmosphere. Hope to revisit again soon!
