The beach has both high & low tides everyday. The water is ok for bathing, but the sand is too harsh. Swimming and water sports are not advisable on this beach. Mandarmoni, as it seemed to us, is good for 2-3 days maximum. Good place to hang out with friends or family. Unlike Digha, Mandarmoni is quite secluded and clean. Less but quality crowd. Best time to visit is winters as the weather becomes too hot in summers. Nearby places of visits are few temples, Talsari beach and Digha. Hotel Mainak is a very good place for stay. Right on the beach, safe and budget-friendly. The owner is very helpful too.

Kalimpong is a hill city at west Bengal having lots of wonderful tourist places like Durpin Monestry, Pineview Nursery, Mangal dham, delo view point. Main kalimpong is a crowded city and much polluted these days as construction works going on. Due to hillside narrow roads there is traffic jam normally.

I stayed at the Ethnotel four different times during my most recent trip to this area of Asia. Because its location is so convenient to the Kolkata Airport, it worked brilliantly as a hub to come back and forth to. The great hotel staff were easy to communicate with, always helpful, and exceptionally kind. A special shoutout to Mr Joy, the hotel driver, who was always able to spot me at the curb for the airport to hotel transfers. Although technically across the street from airport, this isn't anything you'd want to walk since the road is pretty circuitous. You need to arrange a transfer. My rooms were always immaculately clean with strong a/c and good plumbing. Decor wise, yes, the rooms perhaps need to be updated, but the price is right and everything worked. No complaints whatsoever. Room service was good as well as the buffet breakfast in the dining room. I was pleased with everything and everyone here!

Hospitality nd their staff was amazing
the place is a good value for money and the food they serve is delicious. my 5 year old can not eat spicy food and when I asked the kitchen staffs to make the food accordingly, they have obliged to our requests and made sure we didn’t face any issues with the food.

This is the third time we have stayed in Calcutta Bunglalow. The rooms are exceptional. The restaurant food is delicious and beautifully presented. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this hotel as the place to stay in old Calcutta
