Great stay options facing the sea would be Hotel Sea Hawk and Saikatabas. Both hotels have fine dining options though I liked the food in Sea Hawk more than Saikatabas.
For bathing in the sea, best option is Bhorsagar Beach near Sea Hawk hotel on the Digha Mohana road. Best time of the day: Between 12 Noon and 3 PM.
For budget friendly stay a little far from the beach, go for WBTDC operated Dighali 1 or Dighali 2 tourist lodges.

Accomodation facilities are better for all classes of people but public utilities services are very poor. Such as toilets, healthy fooding, beaches development and their maintenance, lighting arrangement need more. Public safety police' patrolling & rates for communication;ie; auto/taxi fare should ne displayed on every public places.

Best for small outing to get out of your daily life hassles. It was outstanding visit. I have also visited Mandarmani, Tajpur via sea beach pathway. It was awesome driving experience via sea side pathway.

But unfortunately the stake holder i.e. State Govt instead of reviving the zhau forest (ঝাউ বন) along the sea beach which were destroyed in cyclones, have completely cleaned the forest and constructed crowded low cost shop / ghumti on Govt land and given on long lease.
The beauty of sea beach at Digha and New Digha have been completely destroyed by setting up non-viable shops.

One of the best beach strips in Bengal but the people visiting are mostly village/B town folks and do not adhere to cleanliness and keep littering everywhere, most of the hotels are sub or low standard, there is a huge number of stay cows every where and you can find more cow dung than sea shells on the beach, the state government has taken initiative to decorate the promenade but the class tourist visiting do not care for cleanliness resulting is filthy smelly beachfront and adjoining areas, the local municipality seems to be of no good as they allow all kinds of vendors to acquire public space and break all civic laws making the place a total chaos.
