The staff was very helpful and my need was always fulfilled within time. There is a nature walk from the retreat takes around 10 mins to a good viewpoint. But you are surely going to get many leeches on your foot. Overall its a must stay here.

Our room had a fantastic view over the surrounding hills, including the Kanchenjunga. We had water and tea-making amenities in the room. The hotel is quite cold during winter, so wear your jacket in the common areas, but the room was well-heated with a radiator and felt very cozy. It was spacious, with an upper deck where the bed and the bathroom were and a lower deck close to the windows with a social area to enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant was terrific, and so was the service. Altogether, we had an unforgettable experience and will likely come back, despite Darjeeling being several days of travel time from our home.
