Gabrovo is the Bulgarian capital of humour and if you go in May you may see the carnival of humour. The House of Humour has a unique collection of cartoons from all over the world and organises a biennial of humour and satire (the next one is in 2017). Good location for exploring things around Gabrovo, Shipka, Sokolski monastery and others
Wonder people, very thoughtful. The mountains were beautiful, peaceful, and Gabrovo has many natural wonders.
The working village of etra was brilliant. There are some great shops and fantastic restaurants in Gabrovo itself.
There are some places of interest in Gabrovo, mainly: Architectural-Ethnographic Complex ETAR, Interactive Museum of Industry, Museum of Satire and Humor, National Education Museum, Historical Stone Bridge from Ottoman Era, Museum of the Wood-Carving and Ethnographical Arts, and so on.
The area around Gabrovo is excellent for mountain tourism and seeing small towns and villages.
Gabrovo was ok, the river running through the town is nice and the architecture is very interesting.
Gabrovo is a sweet town in the mountains. Its churches and monuments are very interesting to see. Etara is fabulous. I strongly recommend this place.
