Calling this a motel is an understatement. We were greeted incredibly nice and received an upgrade into a very big room. The room looked like it was just renovated a week ago. Perfectly clean and everything was working fine. For the low price it’s a perfect stay to explore LA. I will definitely recommend this motel to anyone who is planning to visit LA.

Very nice American motel. Loved the pool and the palm trees. Safe location which is very important on a trip to LA. A few minutes drive to old Pasadena which is a great location for dining and an evening out. Also great value for money and you even get good coffee and breakfast.
When we came to LA, it was very easy to find. The motel looks and feels quite safe. We went to the other corner of the road to get food at Colombo's. It was one of the best meals of our trip. The small pool was a little cold, but looked really good. And the room was quite good for the price, including that free parking.
The motel is located just one kilometer from the Redondo Beach and has free parking. The room was more like a small apartment: two rooms, one of which also had a sofa and a small kitchenette, and a bathroom. The beds were large and comfortable. Both rooms were very quiet. Reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I am trying to find a hotel not too far from the LA airport and a quiet room to be able to have good sleep. Unlike some roadside motels where you can always hear the traffic noise, the room we got in this hotel on the 5th floor is quiet and clean and totally meet our requirements. Room amenities like two bottles of spring water every day, coffee machine and coffee supply, iron and iron board, and free parking are definitely a plus.

Very nice small Motel, with free parking spaces in front. And you can walk in about 15-20minutes to the beach of Santa Monica. The rooms are big enough. And it is quiet at night.
The motel is in a good location to visit Hollywood and the surrounding areas. There is free parking, which is nice as well. Also the receptionist was very friendly.
This place is great. We were 2 families needing a 1 night stay for a studio trip. The location is perfect. Safe, calm neighborhood. Lovely restaurants walking distance. Rooms basic but clean. Comfortable beds, hot showers, fluffy towels. Good coffee and pastries in the morning. Free parking. Pleasant staff. Exactly what we needed at great value for money.
Everything about The Tangerine was great!! From the courteous and helpful staff to the cleanliness, and the comfort of the facility -- all was top notch! Now keep in mind that this is really a motel, not a hotel. It was originally built in the 50s and is styled as an old motor lodge, so it doesn't have the kind of support that a hotel would. That being said, it is an adorable little place and has been remodeled and kept up very well.
