With mountain views, Phong Nha Rice Field Homestay is situated in Phong Nha and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The hosting family were very welcoming and helpful, from ordering a taxi for us from the airport, cooking us late-ish dinner the evening we arrived (which involved delicious tofu with tomato sauce which made my husband, avid tofu-hater, admit it can taste good), pleasant breakfast, renting us scooters as well as recommending places to see around. The homestay is located in a small village, so there are other buildings nearby, but the "backyard" part offers lovely view of surrounding rice fields, you can sit in a nice gazebo there (where they'll even serve you dinner, if you choose so), and you can enjoy the calm nature vibes... If you dislike frog and cicada sounds though, you might be disappointed, as there's plenty of both in the fields. :-) The acommodation and the location gave us much more authentic vibes than many of Phong Nha acommodation options which seemed rather "touristy" - we loved that it was truly a homestay (as we saw some acommodations during our Vietnam trip calling themselves homestay but being a basically a normal hotel-style airbnb) and it added to our Vietnam experience significantly. We 100% recommend. :-)

The location is a really beautiful place to be and the room was nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and there were some lovely friendly dogs too! If it was warmer when we were there we definitely would have made use of the big pool!
Staff super attentive and nothing too much trouble...bookings, rebooting and drinks and snacks. Eco lodges are that. Rustic and interestingly (in a good way) put together. Air con great and mozzie nets on beds... needed but not for mozzies. Shower and bathroom more than adequate.
Ecolodge has everything you need, everything you want. The owners are very kind, smiling and proposes everything you’ll need to have a great Time in Phong Nha. (Caves guided tour, free bikes, motorcycle location) Breakfasts are good, Vietnamese coffees are excellent ! Pool is definitely a plus ! Thanks again, we will gladly recommand you to others friends who would came here one day ! ☺️ (Nicest dogs and kids you’ll ever see 😃)
The owners went above and beyond with any and all requests. They assisted with activities, transport etc etc. We were even treated to the famous Barbeque. The location was on point and we were dropped of a the lodge on our boat trip to the caves as a bonus. We were offered many cups of hot ginger tea as comfort in the cold weather. Exceptional value for money
The hotel owner, Son, was extremely nice and he taught us how to drive a motorbike and even came to check on our safety when we were taking a long time. The breakfast was tasty,, the lodges cosy and the staff kind. Son always went out of his way to make sure we were looked after and had everything we need. Highly recommend.
We really like that the Lodge was a little outside the city, so it was quiet and peaceful, but close enough to have some restaurant around and only a short bike or scooter ride away from the main city. The stuff was very friendly and helped with everything! We loved the outdoor shower. The pick up service in the middle of the night and a room we could already use were big bonuses. We would really recommend this place for everyone who wants some peace and great service.
The family who runs the lodge is very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom was specious and clean. It is 1km from town center. We liked everything about it.

It was nice staying in the Ecolodge Homestay. She recommended us an amazing cave tour and was very helpful and kind. We could check in in the middle of the night!
