It has everything one could wish for, including a wine selection, a pool and a friendly cat.

It was a perfect ending for our hike through the island. Wine, electric fireplace, and magnificent view to the sunset in Atlantic Ocean. The place also has a small pool with a view to the ocean, but it was too cold for us to try it. The housekeeper, Maria, was very nice and helpful.

Calheta
Vila Maria Quinta 13, a property with an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace, is situated in Calheta, 25 km from Girao Cape, 28 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, as well as 34 km from Marina do Funchal. This lodge has a private pool, a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. It was fantastic, beautiful property with very friendly staff.
São Vicente
Casinhas da Laurissilva has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in São Vicente, 21 km from Girao Cape.
Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools is 24 km from the lodge, while Marina do Funchal is 30 km from the property. Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport is 45 km away.
This house and its sorroundings is a little paradise in madeira, plenty of hiking paths and peaceful idyll. The host Paolo and his daughter Ana are very friendly and helpful and can give good directions of the area. I hope to come back someday to stay in this magic place again. até à próxima !

We had a lovely week at the L Lodge. A tiny, fully equiped and comfortable house well located to discover the island.
Beautiful location in a valley close to the north coast of Madeira. Great air, great view, birds singing. Beautiful wooden house with a fireplace and large dining table, a terrace and balcony. Perfect place for a couple or a pack of friends.

The lodges are right up in the mountains but we had a car so no issue. Amazing walks on your doorstep and more 10 mins away. Nice and cool up in the mountains for sleeping. The host was very very helpful.
The location was just a short walk up the hill from Funchal old town. The apartment is really spacious and comfortable. The bed is lovely. Everything works. And it was great value for money. Funchal is a great base for exploring the island. We went to Reids' Hotel for afternoon tea, the tour of Blandy's Madeira wine lodge, the botanical gardens, two Levada walks - one guided and one we went to on the bus by ourselves, and a swim at the lido. The apartment was only a short walk away from lots of great restaurants too.

The perfect escape location with exceptionally high standard facilities. The lodge is huge and beautiful in equal measure. The perfect place to explore the Madeiran mountains but also if you're exploring Funchal but keen to have some serene evenings. We were able to cook our own food but enjoyed the cafe restaurant only 5-10 minute walk away (which does amazing hot chocolate!). The host was friendly and helpful. Please don't hesitate to book here.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.
