Pohara
Situated in Pohara, Ratanui Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a terrace and a bar.
At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving local cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested.
We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!
Pohara
Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the sea, The Bay Lodge is located in Pohara and provides accommodation with free WiFi.
Every unit features a private bathroom and shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. A toaster is also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle.
The lodge offers a hot tub.
Filip and Sonya were fabulous hosts-very hospitable and generous with information and recommendations. The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.

Whare Aroha: Retreat to Wellness is set in Pakawau.

Location: peaceful, secluded, gorgeous view.
Host: Jai could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
The location is superb! The hotel pick up and drop off your bags to the boat which is great as you can get off the boat earlier and do a hike into the lodge.

The Bay Lodge was absolutely fantastic! It was everything and more. Anything you could possibly need was in the accommodation and the hosts couldn’t have done more for us. They booked any excursions we wanted to do and even baked delicious carrot cake for us to have with drinks whilst we were relaxing by the pool.
The manager was exceptionally helpful recommending things to do - all of which we thoroughly enjoyed . We had dinner there the three nights we stayed and the food was delicious and service exemplary . Breakfast was great, the room had everything we needed . Highly recommend Ratanui Lodge

Gorgeous lodge in the heart of New Zealand’s wilderness. Amazing good. Very comfortable.
Absolutely beautiful chalet. Check-in was easy and the staff was great. It felt like living in the jungle in our own little resort. The outdoor tub was a great touch and each lodge was its own little oasis. Fabulous water pressure in the shower. The location was about a 10 minute drive from downtown and easy to get to.
Fabulous staff, gorgeous rooms, so calm, quiet and tranquil. We paid a little more for the Luxury Room - very spacious, probably half again the size of the Deluxe. Only 10 rooms, room 10 being the only Luxury room. Ask for a higher room number to be a little more private and away from the (not busy) road. The on-site restaurant was amazing, best duck I’ve ever had, and a perfect breakfast selection. The staff though are the biggest asset of this lodge, so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. It was very hard to leave.

We loved the lodge atmosphere; you can make your own breakfast. The lounge area is full of wonderful books and movies
