Filip and Sonya were fabulous hosts-very hospitable and generous with information and recommendations. The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.

Die Unterkunft Whare Aroha: Retreat to Wellness ist in Pakawau gelegen und bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit Zugang zu einem Garten mit einer Terrasse. Its an absolut beautiful place! Very peacefull and nice to calm and slow down for a bit. You can watch the stars from your bed, witch is wonderful and kind of magical. The room has a lot of space and is very cleen. The light is great and just adds to the calm atmosphere. The Owners are very nice. I got a free room-upgrade which was greatly appriciated! I had a great time there and would say it was the best place I have stayed in!
