Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. I really enjoyed that the place was surrounded by nature. The staff were kind and attentive. They drove guests up and down the hilly part of the resort and also to Ampong Villa. The yoga class on Saturday morning was great, and the view from the practice room made it even more special. There is room service twice a day and in the evening they also place mosquito repeller. It was great to return to a clean and mosquito free room.

Beautiful setting in the rice paddies, this place has a very special feel to it. Very relaxing atmosphere and a great place to unwind. Cooling down in the pool whilst watching the abundant birds in their natural environment, it’s very peaceful. Well equipped communal kitchen and comfortable rooms. Factor in some time in your itinerary to just relax at the villa. So many other travellers seemed to pass through quickly and didn’t get to experience the magic of this place. The owner is very welcoming and the breakfasts were wonderful. A great introduction for us to local delicacies.

Perfect, quiet location in the jungle, blending with nature - surrounded by monkeys, birds, squirrels. Perfect place for a peaceful family vacation. The villas were very clean, spacious. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Very pleasant. 10/10 stars. The staff also helped to organize transportation rental, both scooters and cars. Recommended places worth visiting. Thank you!
