The rooms are great hearing the sound of the waterfall, Manisha makes the best food. The family offers the following: - The cool Son brings you cold beer, helps and organises cheap local transport and is an amazing guide who helps you spot rainforest life (and get good photos of it), plus make sure you make it home in one piece. - The sweet Mom cooks some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Asking for the spicy option is highly recommended. - The kind Dad takes care of the place and kills any giant spider that may enter your room with a broomstick. Prices are reasonable and upfront in a remote paradise.

Located in Matara with Matara Beach and Polhena Beach nearby, Bimanjee Mango Resort provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I had a great stay here! The family is so hospitable and kind. They will do everything to make you enjoy your stay:) The room was nice and it was only a five minute bicycle ride towards Polhena beach. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Mirissa Eco Hills features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Mirissa, 1.8 km from Weligama Beach. Owner is super nice. Place is about 20 mins walk to the center through the jungle but you won’t get an amazing view anywhere else. The place is literally surrounded by paddies and you can see the train from the balcony. Bed is very comfortable and room is huge. If you’re not down for a small walk, the owner can arrange a scooter for you for cheap price. Highly recommend.

Must visit if you go to Sri Lanka as a couple. The atmosphere from the patio alone was worth the (very affordable) cost. Monkeys and many different birds make an appearance every day.
