Featuring mountain views, Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort in Deniyaya features accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and water sports facilities. This was one of the best places we've been to on our trip to Sri Lanka. It's in the middel of nature, there is a beautiful waterfall where you can dip into the water and even get fish therapy about a 5min walk from the Hotel. The glass bungalow was incredible, the room was clean, very comfortable and there is a mini fridge with snacks and beverages. Apart from the room, the host and his wife are lovely people, so friendly, warm and welcoming. We had a tasty welcome drink, then they showed us the way to the waterfall, before dinner, the host took us on a little walk to see the surrounding area and after dinner he took us on a little night walk around the house to see the little animals living there. He gave us much information about plants and animals and also organized a guided trip to the rainforest the following day. His wife prepares breakfast and dinner herself and it was by far the best we've eaten on our trip. The accomodation is not easy to find and to access if you are not travelling by car, but you can inform the host and they organize a pickup at a reasonable price. This wasn't a negative point for us as we enjoy the sounds of nature, but if you're a light sleeper it's fair to mention that the sound of the waterfall is quite loud and you can also hear the frogs and circadas quite a lot. That's definitely a pro when you, like us, like to be surrounded by the sounds of nature but may be a con if you want to be in a more quiet place. We really recommend to visit this beautiful place when you are travelling in the Sinharaja area! Thank you so much for everything!! :)

The Rainforest Lodge is about 400 meters from the entrance to the Sinharaja Rain Forest, so a great location for those planning to hire a guide and trek through the forest. The couple who run the lodge are amazing: so welcoming. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Lodge and loved every dish that was served to us.

This small boutique hotel is beautifully located in Mirrisa, with its small private beach and pool. The property is pleasant to spend time to relax. The rooms are very comfortable with amenities. The manager and staff are super friendly and ready to help. We would recommend their restaurant. The chef prepares delicious and healthy foods with local produce of a quality found at higher end restaurants. He can even adjust a meal for you.

Location and hospitality of the workers is beyond exceptional. You cannot beat the views, and waking up to the beautiful jungle and forest right from your bedroom, or the dreamy fireflies at night from the balcony. Their home kitchen menu is superb, made fresh to order, and super tasty. We had delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all tasty and satisfying. The owners also connected us with a great hiking guide in the Sinharaja forest who pointed out rare species, took us to waterfalls, and even prepped us so we would not get leeches on our shoes. This location is absolutely the best and we would come back again! 100% recommend to anyone considering visiting the Sinharaja forest. They are family owned, and extremely kind people.

Located in Matara with Matara Beach and Polhena Beach nearby, Bimanjee Mango Resort provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The family running this hostel was one of the nicest I've ever encountered. They even welcomed me with a refreshing coconut juice upon my arrival! I truly hope this small hotel thrives in the future.

Everything was beyond expectations. Cleanliness, amazing food, staff kind, the peace and beauty of the place, super laundry service, internet very good. The experience was wonderful. Mirissa Eco Hills features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Mirissa, 1.8 km from Weligama Beach. My stay at Mirissa Eco Hills was exactly what I needed! Located in a tranquil sanctuary of lush green foliage, I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. I arrived to a nearby bus stop and got a tuk tuk for the short journey to the accommodation. The owner Suronge is a delightful, accommodating and thoughtful host. He showed me where to walk to reach Mirissa, which ended up being a beautiful walk through the Sri Lankan countryside, a highlight of my stay in Sri Lanka so far. It’s not far, 20 mins walk. He recommended a restaurant to get the best and cheap Roti in Mirissa. In the evening Suronge even offered to pick me up some food or drink from the town as he thought I hadn’t eaten all day. Breakfast the next day was brought to my room at a time that suited me! I had delicious veggie roti, coconut pancakes, a banana and a pot of tea. There was a lot of love and care poured into the breakfast and it tasted delicious. Suronge was so kind, accommodated my check out time and ordered me a tuk tuk for when I needed it. The spacious room had a big four poster bed and a balcony that looked out to rice paddies. I enjoyed watching life pass by from up on the balcony. The bathroom had plenty of hot water too. My only wish is that I had more nights to stay here. Don’t hesitate, book this for your tranquil country side get away immediately. You won’t regret it! The value for money is incredible.
