Liza's Place er staðsett í Metókhion, 31 km frá Fornminjasafninu í Rethymno og 9,3 km frá Sögusafni - þjóðminjasafninu í Gavalochori. Liza’s Place is located 30 minutes drive outside of Chania city center, surrounded by beautiful Cretan landscape with views of the famous White Mountains. There is also a path that leads to the mountains as well as the European hiking trail E4. For anyone interested in hiking activities on the island, it is the ideal place. The house is spacious, lovingly furnished and very clean. Everything is well maintained. There is also a backyard with furniture and lemon/orange trees, which we were allowed to try out. The perfect nature experience! The owners are welcoming and very helpful. We will definitely come back!

We spent an amazing week at Mourtzanakis Residence! The place is very calm and peaceful so if you're looking to stay away from the city noise, this is the place to be. The view of the Sea is amazing! As an host, Marco goes out of his way to make you feel at home. During our stay, he treated us like family, taking care of every detail while at the same time being always available to provide us with any information we requested. Don't forget to have a car, it is absolutely needed. Nevertheless, it has a great connection to the main road to Heraklion and Retimno. We highly recommend staying at Marcos' place! Ευχαριστώ :-)

From the moment of arriving, and throughout our stay, we were so warmly welcomed by Angelika, Anastasia and her mum that it felt like we were visiting much-loved friends or family. We loved everything about this holiday: the exceptional service, friendliness and kindness of the hardworking owners, the delicious fresh-cooked food every day (both breakfast and dinner), the peaceful and serene location with immaculately kept gardens, large clean and welcoming apartment with lovely views from the terrace, superb salt-water pool. There is free parking on site, and the accommodation is less than 1 hour drive from Chania airport. We were sad to leave, and recommend this place highly for both the restaurant and the accommodation. It is the epitome of warm Cretan hospitality, away from the tourist crowds.

Anassa Cave by Estia er staðsett í bænum Heraklio, 1 km frá fornminjasafninu í Heraklion, 1,2 km frá feneysku veggjunum og 5,8 km frá Knossos-höllinni. We got lost because the Google Maps location was totally off. Leftesis rang us and somehow managed to find us and took us to the accommodation. After a lot of stress, the Cave room was stunning. The facilities are excellent, and Leftesis was a superb host. We were a short walk 15 mins to the ferry, which was great as we had an early morning check-in for Santorini. This is a little jewel on Heraklion, and I can't recommend it highly enough. My wife loved it.
