Welcome hamper was such a lovely touch, the Prosecco was very much appreciated. Tracey and Dave, the owners, were really friendly and made us feel so welcome. We loved the owners 2 dogs too! Green View Lodges are family-run accommodation located in the village of Welton, 14.6 km from Carlisle. The pet-friendly accommodation features a leisure suite sauna and a hot tub. Lovely well equipped and very clean. Everything you would need was provided. Homemade cake added bonus, thank you. Animals in paddock and grandchildren loved going out to see them.

A 10-minute walk from Keswick town centre, Lynton Lodge Studio provides self-catering accommodation in the picturesque Lake District. These studios have free parking and WiFi. On arrival the studio was lovely and warm, there was a welcome pack of fresh flowers, chocolates and milk which is a nice touch. The studio is very well equipped also coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sugar were provided. It was clean and comfortable. The owners live next door and are on hand if needed but otherwise respect your privacy. We have stayed twice now, you get the best of both worlds self catering but just the right size apartment better than a hotel room or a cottage we think,, we will be back!

We stayed in the fox pod which was lovely, extremely clean, and had everything you could possibly need for a cosy few days. You can tell that a lot of thought and care has been put in by the owners, with every extra detail like a guide to the area and even milk ready in the fridge adding to the whole experience :) - I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway just a stones throw from some amazing hikes!

She went above and beyond to ensure that our family, including our young children, felt completely at home. The apartment was immaculate and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the lodge both cozy and practical. The environment was incredibly child-friendly, which made it perfect for our family. What truly set this experience apart was Phillippa’s warmth and attentiveness. She provided us with detailed information and personalized guides about the Lake District, making our exploration of the area easy and enjoyable. Her insights made a huge difference in our trip, helping us discover hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. This lodge exceeded all our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. If you’re looking for a welcoming, well-appointed, and family-friendly home base in the Lake District, look no further. We’ll definitely be returning!
