The beach is not crowded at all, just a few folks here and there. We thoroughly enjoyed the motel restaurant. There was much selection and we liked everything we tried. We were there 5 nights and never went anywhere else because the open air atmosphere and food were so good. Breakfast was very tasty too, especially all the fresh fruit! We had a small kitchen in our room, but no microwave. Loved the pool too. Also very peaceful. We would go back in a minute!

Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is 5 km from a golf course and 30 km from Las Baulas National Marine Park. Daniel Oduber International Airport is a 1-hour drive away. The location is amazing with a wonderful pool and a really quite area. The food is delicious and the staff is extraordinarily friendly. I just stayed one night as my whole trip was pre-booked, but I would have liked to stay longer.

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua.

The accommodations include a fan, safety deposit box, seating area and a dining area with a fridge. They also feature a furnished terrace with garden and river views. The bathrooms are private and have a shower and free toiletries. It was off the beaten track! Great people, very friendly, good food, great location! Very personal treatment.

Barra Honda National Park is 36 km from the lodge. The nearest airport is Nosara Airport, 66 km from Cabañas del Bosque. Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

We were so impressed by this property. The cabana style rooms where really cool and comfortable, within a gated area so while close to the beach there aren't cars passing by. The best part about it is the pool and BBQ area - it's really spacious, has tasteful styling, and there's a hot tub! It was so inviting that we spent a night cooking and swimming there instead of going out. I'd recommend it to anyone! Bonus - we saw a couple of snakes around the room :D
