BlackRock is a lodge set in Stalden in the Canton of Valais Region and is 24 km from Zermatt. It provides free private parking. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Black Rock to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was top notch from the get go and didn’t disappoint in anyway. Otto the owner certainly pays attention to detail. He met us promptly at the accommodation with a bottle of wine, fully stocked fridge and detailed explanation of how to operate appliances, sauna, etc. Everything was spotless and quality built, which made for a very comfortable stay. In addition, the location is spectacular. Nestled in a mountainside close to Zermatt and Montreux it makes for a perfect place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city or launching pad for a day trip to the Matterhorn. Upon checkout Otto surprised my husband with a parting gift, an assortment of Swiss beer knowing he was a beer connoisseur. If your travels takes you this way you must stay here!

This chalet-style hotel is located in the centre of Zermatt, within 500 metres of Zermatt Train Station and all cable cars. The Weisshorn’s restaurant serves Swiss cuisine and Valais specialities. Nice location and rooms have wonderful views! Breakfast is good! Staff are friendly. The shared bathroom is clean.

Chaeserstatt- Seminar-Lodge-Ausflug offers pet-friendly accommodation in Ernen. Luftseilbahn Fürgangen-Bellwald is 1.7 km from the property. Some units include a terrace and/or balcony. The view was incredible. Breakfast on the patio outside looking at the view not to be missed. Hot tub with a view of the mountains too. Great advice from the staff on local hiking spots and places to visit.

Located directly at the Fiescheralp on 2212m above sea level inside the Cable Car Station and in the Aletsch Ski and Hiking Area, Alpenlodge Kühboden provides ski-to-door access in winter and... The bed, pillows, comforter, bedsheets etc. are very comfortable. Not many people stays overnight in Fiescheralp and not much facility available at night. We took the opportunity to rest and relax. Outside is cold in early October but the room itself is warm.

Hotel Europe is located in the village Zinal, amongst the Swiss Alps and 400 metres from the cable car. Set on 1675 metres above sea level, this hotel offers a hot tub and rooms with a balcony. Great location, right next to the bus stop. Clean and comfortable. Loved the spa!
