I rarely write reviews for hotels, but my stay at Verb Hotel in Boston definitely deserves one. This was my first trip to the U.S., and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. THE VERB HOTEL EXCEDEED ALL MY EXPECTATIONS — from the wonderful atmosphere to the amazing staff and delicious breakfast. The rock’n’roll theme with vinyl records in every room made it even more special. The perfect choice for anyone visiting Boston! I really miss you guys there. Greetings from Ireland!

Visit the Coop (for books and music) and read the historical markers as you walk around-one can feel the presence of revolutionary heroes, scholars, and artists, and feel the New England sense of self sufficiency.
The staff was very nice and the room was cosy and clean. The location is great - just one stop from Porter square to Harvard square, where I needed to be. There is also a cafe just next to the hotel, even two. Best value for money.
Staff in the evening were good about changing my room from a disability room to another room at my request .
Manager in the morning was very helpful and arranged a taxi for me.Staff offered me a bottle of water when I checked out.Nice spacious room with 2 king beds.
Room and linen was clean and had a good light view of Harvard Square.Good location for Harvard safe area.
Evening staff gave me good recommendations for Mexican food as I had arrived late and a good bakery nearby for coffee and pastries the next morning.

Location is fantastic, a few minutes from Harvard square, in a very quiet neighborhood. The place is charming and car parking is right in front of the house. The communication with the host was fast, clear, professional and friendly. The bed iI slept in was comfortable.
I stayed at Hotel 1868 for one night for events at Harvard. The hotel is super clean and recently decorated, and was easily able to accommodate my late check-in at 11 pm. Bathroom was nice, Wifi was fast, and location just one T stop from Harvard Square is convenient, plus Porter Square has some of its own restaurants etc. It's not super luxe, but it's really nice, and much better value than Harvard Square hotels which tend to be wildly overpriced.
Brilliant location, walking distance to Porter Square and Harvard Square. Instructions for checking in and accessing the building were clear and staff responded quickly when I had other questions. Very comfortable room and facilities.
It's a small, simple hotel. Don't except anything extra-ordinary. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The location is marvellous, very close to Harvard Square and the Red Line subway.
