The record player in the room was unique. We enjoyed being able to go to the lobby grab more records and bring them without any issue back to the room. They had a great selection and although I didn't use the pool it looked great and was heated even in the winter.

Good access to Cambridge/Boston; you don't need to stay right in Harvard Square or by Boston Common; Porter Square is within 20 minutes from central Boston and this hotel is right next to the metro. Close to most shops/facilities you need (e.g. grocery, laundromat, etc.).
The location is perfect: the heart of Harvard Square. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning rooms. Parking was conveniently located very near the hotel entrance. Complimentary coffee and tea were available in the lobby. Umbrellas were offered in the lobby on days when rain was expected.
It is an attractive hotel, conveniently located, with a nice view of Harvard Square. We arrived early and yet they accommodated us by providing an alternative room.
Second stay at this hotel. Great location, clean and modern with easy street parking. Walk or T to Harvard Square and lots of restaurant choices.

my son-in-law and his dad recommended this hotel since they stayed at the colleges and the graduate schools here for more than 10 years. I agree with them, the location, bus number one to Harvard Square and Red line to the other side of the city etc, that made my travel in Boston comfortable and easier.
Good location within Cambridge. Walking distance to MIT. Nice location right on the river, so you can walk all the way to Kendall Square. Also, the hotel has an efficient shuttle to drop you right in Harvard Square.
The Inn has a faded charm. It is quiet and conveniently located in a cute neighborhood with good local restaurants. It's easy to get around via T or bus; or, if you like to walk, a nice walk to Harvard Square. Given the high price of Boston area hotels, it is good value, especially if you factor in that the Inn includes free parking. That's definitely a plus.
This hotel does not just rely on its proximity to Harvard Square (which is itself wonderful); this hotel is lovely, extremely comfortable, and has a welcoming and knowledgeable staff. It's charm quotient is off the charts.
THE LOCATION!! I took my parents to visit their granddaughter who is currently a freshman at Harvard. It was so wonderful to walk out the door and easily meet her anywhere in Harvard Square. This is our 3rd stay at Hotel Veritas! And the staff - so warm and accommodating. Thank you!
I have always stayed at Irving House when I travel to Cambridge. I like its location, in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to Harvard Square and the Harvard Art Museums. It's old school bread-and-Breakfast inn, which adds to its charm. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the clientele is generally academic or folks visiting Harvard, it has a nice university community feel.
