The hotel has an excellent location: 5 min walk to all mail attractions of the Old Town, 15 min to Grand Bazar, 20 min to main piers to get to the leisure boats. If you are planning to use a tram it is 8 min walk. I booked a transfer to pick up at the airport for 60 euro and on the way back they ordered me a taxi for 33 euro. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and comfortable. The Elevator is a great addition . The upper terrace gives an outstanding view to thе Sea of Marmora, you can sit there at any time and enjoy. The staff of the hotel is a separate pleasure to communicate: extremely polite, friendly, assisting and ready to explain everything). Ali ( the General manager) talks personally to all the guests trying to accommodate all their requests, he is beyond any compliments. The hotel is highly recommended.

Excellent location, cannot recommend it enough!
Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, especially the young man cleaner who always asked what we would like done. And always left fresh water and fruit in the room for us!
Well designed comfortable and spacious rooms, furnished to accommodate luggage and clothes.
The TV has a video of the hotel amenities and you can play it in the background if you don't like the silence and don't want to watch any TV programs. I found it nice.
The room has slippers, a tea set, a very thorough cosmetic set (even a nail polish that we needed!). Very thought through.

Hagia Sophia
In 537 AD, Hagia Sophia began life as a church, before becoming an Ottoman mosque in 1453. The largest cathedral in the world for almost a thousand years, this majestic building is considered one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture. Today, you can explore its vast structure from the inside with a visit to the museum that’s now housed within the walls.

The history is stunning and the main room is beautiful as well as the mosaics. However, I was underwhelmed considering they now charge to go in and you cannot go on the main floor (a result of it being turned into a mosque). Also the carpet choice doesn't help with the overall site. I think the other mosques were better.
Also, there are LONG queues to buy a ticket and then queues to go in. I would recommend going to the Hagia Sophia experience museum (across the Obelisk) and buy tickets there.

Insanely long lines deterred us, although you can take great shot elsewhere. Whether you are a man or woman, you need to cover up. Ladies with shawl, long sleeves, and down to ankles. Men with pants and at least a t-shirt (no tank tops). Otherwise, no entry.

Westerners are not allowed on the ground floor like the blue mosque. The mosque should be a place of multi religions as let's face it, it was a church first. All should be allowed everywhere as long as prayers are respected.

Hagia Sophia itself is impressive, I certainly wouldn't recommend the so-called "museum," which is ridiculously overpriced and basically just a long, ridiculous video in a bunch of different rooms, played at the volume of a rock concert. Go watch a documentary. You'll learn a lot more.

They turned this museum into a mosque under Erdogan.
They turned this museum into a mosque under Erdogan. It has been a museum for almost 100 years, but now it is a mosque and you are not allowed to go and explore the place inside, but are confined to a small space at the ground floor of the building. Very, very sad!!

I had an amazing stay at Angel’s Home Hotel in Istanbul. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel completely at home. The rooms were spotless, cosy, and beautifully decorated.
The rooftop terrace was a highlight, offering stunning views and a delicious breakfast. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
Exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere make this hotel a true gem. I’ll definitely be back!
This hotel is all about location, location, location. It's at the heart of the old city, close to Sultanahmet and all the historical sites you'd want to visit, including the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and more. The staff was very helpful and kind. It will definitely be my first choice if I get the chance to visit again.
A nice small hotel that's a good value for money place to stay to have your own private room that's comfortable and a private bathroom with decent facilities. It's right near the main tourist area so a 5-10 min walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Topkapi palace and Basilica cisterns (which I thought was very cool), but also slightly out the way so quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful but mostly just let you get on with it so a good place to stay to have a bit of peace for good value.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Sultan Ahmed neighborhood - Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are few minutes walk away. There is Arasta bazar near hotel- much chepaer that grand bazar. Nice roof top restaurant in hotel and hotel guests have 10% discount. Special thank to Ehmed from hotel restaurant who made my breakfast last day !
I liked the food, the fact that the hotel was located relatively close to most of the attractions (Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, etc.), and the cleanliness.
I recently stayed at Mula Hotel in Istanbul for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to major landmarks like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a relaxing retreat after exploring the city. Highly recommend Mula Hotel for its prime location and outstanding service!
I highly recommend staying at this hotel. A special thanks to Manager Abdullah, whose assistance was invaluable; he promptly addressed every question and need we had.
The location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk to the iconic Hagia Sophia, making it incredibly convenient for exploring this historic area.
The room was very clean, and all the essential items were delivered on time.
If you are going to Istanbul, definitely consider staying here.
Teşekkür ederim!
Perfect location in Sultanahmet, very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and well connected with the rest of the city. The hotel and room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was great as well. I recommend this hotel to stay in Istanbul.
The hotel is suitable for guests who want to enjoy the view of Istanbul. After the walk, the hotel needs to rest. + The hotel is located close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The hotel has good transport links and offers everything you need for a clean stay. Refrigerator, air conditioning. Continuous cleaning service is provided. Good Wi-Fi is available even on the back floors.
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. For the travellers who want to visit most of the historical places on foot or by public transport, and don’t have a big budget, the hotel is perfect. It’s hard to overestimate its location! 3 minutes and you see Bosphorus, 5 minutes and you’re in the very centre of Istanbul with Hagia Sophia.
Breakfast is simple, but it’s not a problem. The manager is a very polite and helpful young man always ready to assist.
So, our overall experience was very positive.

Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia are both jaw droppingly stunning inside. Avoid the huge tour group queues & go straight to the top of the line, else you'll wait for hours. I was in (in both places), in 10 minutes without being pushy.

we gave in and got the 2 day hop on hop off big bus - as we kept getting lost. Everyone seems to go to the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace early but we found after lunch a lot quieter. if I - no when I go again I will definitely get a 3 day pass so no queuing. Must do a Bosphorus cruise
