Istanbul is a great experience.
Istanbul is a great experience. I was looking at some display of some former president and a local gentleman asked where I was from. I am from USA. The gentleman took the time to explain to me that the former Turkish President in the display was similar to the American President George Washington. That is he took Turkey from the old Monarchy type government to government by the people. It was very interesting and I appreciated the gentleman's time.

Istanbul is a great city to visit, it's a rich of culture,...
Istanbul is a great city to visit, it's a rich of culture, however we felt that tourist attractions fees were considerably higher than they should e.g. Hagia Sophia's recently converted to mosque and it costed £25 for entry fee with limited access to the building you probably spend 15-20 mins in there. The positive side is the public transport fees were super cheap, please make the most of it. It's also a great way to explore different parts of the city.
This city is really for a cat lover!

Imposing and huge city.
Imposing and huge city. Most people were very pleasant, (some stared at foreigners strangely). Watch out for ripoffs in taxis, use the Uber app exclusively, and never consider paying in cash or the fare will mysteriously get trippled.
Don't whatever you do try to drive in Istanbul, all 12 million drivers are professionally trained stunt drivers.
Met some lovely people but had unfortunately selected a terrible hotel (The Best City Kadikoy) that should be avoided at all costs. (Negative 15 stars)
I was here for medical treatment so YMMV as a normal tourist.
(Not this hotel though, it was truly terrible regardless of your reason for visiting)

Istanbul is a city I absolutely love!
Istanbul is a city I absolutely love! It’s a perfect mix of history, culture, and modern life. From iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque to the lively Grand Bazaar, every corner tells a story. The food is incredible, and the Bosphorus views are unforgettable.
But what truly stands out are the people – so warm, welcoming, and full of hospitality. Istanbul is a place that captures your heart and leaves you wanting more. A must-visit for anyone!

First of all, the location of the hotel is very good, it is close to Taksim Square, from which public transport runs in any direction, including buses from both Gokcen and Istanbul airports. The room is quite big and clean. The only inconvenience was that we didn't have a closet. the staff was very attentive and pleasant. Thank them for that. The street where the hotel is located is full of very good cafes with live music until the morning, so we didn't have to look far for entertainment.
I found this hotel on booking and it was the first time I went to turkey, and it was absolutely amazing. Getting to the hotel was easy because of the subway from airport to the hotel. The hotel location was great, 2 minutes from subway, 3 minutes from tramway, secure place, and you can walk to Beyazit, Sultanahmet. The host Erdogan was helpful. The room was just like in the photos, and cleaning service was available. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I go back to Istanbul.
Location the best! Staff welcome, helpfull and friendly. Excellent restaurant on the rooftop. Views from the rooftop of Istanbul - the Bridge! Close to all the major tourist attractions. Modern, like 5 star hotel!.
i had very long transit time, so i booked this hotel for one night, good location near airport, surrounded by many good restaurants
if i come to asian side of istanbul, definitely i will come back again.
