The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.
If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

The city is enormous but excellently connected by metro, trams, and metro buses. Although traffic is heavy, public transportation offers fantastic connectivity. The city is dynamic and safe, with most places staying open until late at night, and the locals are incredibly friendly. The food is authentic and delicious, and we especially enjoyed the classic desserts like baklava, Turkish sweets, and tea.
It's highly recommended to book guided tours for major attractions in advance, as some locations offer faster entry with a guide. Without one, the lines can be extremely long. The bazaars are fantastic, and you can negotiate good prices for souvenirs.

Beautiful, hectic city.
Beautiful, hectic city. Extremely expensive museums / castles (outrageously expensive for foreign tourists vs the prices the Turkish citizens get). People try to hussle you at every corner into paying a fortune for rubbish goods / services. Nice weather, nice food. Public transportation is rather cheap. Traffic is a bit messy - recommended to walk in the historic center and for longer distances use ferry, tram, metro.

Loved the historic sights.
Loved the historic sights. There is so much to see that 3 nights couldn’t do it justice. Hated the taxi drivers who think it is fair game to rip off tourists. If you can avoid but if you get into argy bargy you can threaten to call the police who will always back you up.

Istanbul is a city that captures your senses and refuses to let go. Straddling two continents, it effortlessly blends the old with the new, the East with the West, and the traditional with the modern. Every corner of this vibrant metropolis has a story to tell, and every street has a unique charm that leaves a lasting impression. It is a city of Historical Richness, Vibrant Culture, Scenic Beauty and Culinary Delights.

Maybe I like big cities with lots of people and I feel comfortable in Istanbul. The feeling of safety. The number of buildings is impressive. The people are friendly. You can eat in different places and it will be delicious everywhere. Good selection of clothes and shoes. People are poorly dressed, but there are almost no beggars on the streets. If there is a shop with good clothes and European prices, it is empty. Often, because of the traffic, it is faster to use public transport than a taxi.

Istanbul is an endlessly fascinating city.
Istanbul is an endlessly fascinating city. It opens a new face to you in every neighborhood, with every sight, with a change of seasons and moods. Truly, Istanbul is a city to which one could return to all your life. Two recommendations: (1) no trip to Istanbul is complete without seeing it from water, and municipal boats and sea buses provide an excellent and affordable opportunity to do that; (2) go beyond traditional tourist sites to explore Istanbul's many charming neighborhoods like Balat/Fener, Kadıköy/Moda and Üsküdar.

This property is one of the bestest hotels to stay at Istanbul. The best part of this hotel is the owner himeself Fuad. He was exceptional with his services and he cared for us way too much. Every other time he was present to cater us. The rooms are newly renovated and clean. Washrooms are superb clean and all the facilities are there which are in 5 star hotel. I had a great trip and thank you Taksim Larissa for making it a memorable one. My next visit will be sure this hotel again.
The location was perfect and strategic. 3-5minutes walk to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. 10minutes walk to Sultanahmet tram station.
The breakfast floor has spectacular view (hagia sophia and blu mosque). Breakfast spread was good.
The bed was comfy, water pressure was good and the heater works well.
The owner was friendly and help us to book bosphorus cruise and activate our istanbul kart since we didnt know how to do it.
Definitely one of the best hotel during our trip!
The hotel exceeded our expectations, the staff were super friendly and they upgraded our room to a suite! The suite was very spacious and clean, and the location was really good and close to Taksim square, to the metro station, to many restaurants and shopping airport and it also has the Havaist station close to the main gate, so it's very convenient to go and back from the airport. We're willing to stay here again when visiting Istanbul.
Myself and a friend wanted somewhere to stay while we explored the tourist spots of Istanbul for a few days. The hotel was great for us, with clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location was great. Close to the shops and cafes around Galata Tower but still quiet at night. A few minutes from the ferry terminal and not too far to walk to Sultanahmet or Taksim Square.
The Best hotel in Istanbul for medium budget, very professional and friendly staff, clean and cozy place with a very good space. 3 mins walk from taksim square.
On checkout I forgot a camera and some electronics in the suite, the honest owner kept them until I went took them back👌🏻.
