The owner, Zeynep, was the perfect hostess, greeting us each morning in the rooftop terrace, where a delicious and plentiful breakfast was served. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was nicely appointed and spacious. The location is quite central and the area is walkable, with restaurants, shops and Galata Tower nearby. Any time we had the slightest need, we got kind assistance. We felt we couldn't have found a better choice for a comfortable stay in Istanbul.

The views were spectacular! Modern rooms and great location. Staff were very professional. Anna, Ahmed bey, Kassim bey, Azaz, Ahmed were the best. They were all so warm, pleasant and helpful. The place has amazing vibes with the cafes surrounding the tower and the cobbled streets and all but the crowd is just crazy. Everyone wants a pic there for whatever reason and they are a painful hindrance to enjoying the place

It's good that they have installed a set of lifts to get to the top of the tower. So you are not walking up too many steps. Best to get there early or towards sunset to see spectacular views with the mosques and the sea across Istanbul.

Definitely a must. Go in the early evening as the night lights are awesome. Museum Pass is a must - this is one of the places you can visit with it. I bought a 5 day pass for 700 TL at Topkapi Palace.

I always thought that this is only a tower, you go up, see the landscape and that is all.
I was totally wrong because there is a very nice and interactive museum inside the tower. I highly recommend it.

Be stroung and fit to walk up hilly nerrow streets to get to Galata tower. Long queue, i suggest one stand in queue and other stand in ticket queue. 3/4 to one hour wait befote you get in. Life will take to the top. the view is breath taking. take pictures. stay as long as you want. take day than evening sun set and night photos.

nothing, everything was bad. the location was far from everything especially galata tower and it had uphills and down hills everywhere, it was located in a very awkward place. the property did not look like a decent hotel at all. no decent markets or shops nearby everything was always far away. overall the property is really bad and i dont recommend it at all
The apartment is good for it's cost. It's close to Galata tower, and the metro and bus stations are also close. It's got everything we were looking for - private bathroom, kitchenette, and it was very affordable considering how expensive Istanbul generally is. It was exactly how it looks in the pictures. The staff was really nice. Behlul gave us a very detailed explanation of how to get there, check-in and check-out, he did a really good job. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay!
The room was spacious and better than I thought. The hotel is so near Galata Tower. During check out the reception, Ibraham were kind enough to let me leave my luggage then offered some turkish tea for me.

Clean, spacious rooms with mini kitchen were ok
The location is breathtaking, especially if you book with Sea view. And having it a 5 min from Galata tower is a plus. Also since I rented a car, there is a parking garage right down the hotel as parking in Istanbul is a nightmare. The breakfast was really good, and having it on the top floor gives Daru Sultan an extra advantage over other hotels.
The staff was very cooperative, the location is ideal, walking distance to AyaaSophia, Blue Mosque, Galata Tower, Hafiz Mustafa.
Plenty of good food options, and taxi stand is just outside the hotel.
Great location on Istiklal street! Close to everything in Istanbul. The hotel is 2-3 min walk from the Shishane metro and the tunnel stations. You can easily walk to the Galata tower, Galata bridge, and the Taksim square (on the other side of Istiklal). Great shopping and restaurants on Istiklal. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Our group of 6 people comfortably stayed in 3 rooms at the hotel for a week in November 2024.
