Galata Tower
Medieval Galata Tower pierces the clouds above Istanbul’s skyline, a soaring sentinel to the north of the Golden Horn. A replacement for a previous tower that was destroyed in the crusades, this one was built by the Genoese in 1348. or hundreds of years, it was the tallest building in Istanbul – and its uppermost balcony still offers unrivalled city views today.

The place has amazing vibes with the cafes surrounding the tower and the cobbled streets and all but the crowd is just crazy. Everyone wants a pic there for whatever reason and they are a painful hindrance to enjoying the place

It's good that they have installed a set of lifts to get to the top of the tower. So you are not walking up too many steps. Best to get there early or towards sunset to see spectacular views with the mosques and the sea across Istanbul.

Definitely a must.
Definitely a must. Go in the early evening as the night lights are awesome. Museum Pass is a must - this is one of the places you can visit with it. I bought a 5 day pass for 700 TL at Topkapi Palace.

I always thought that this is only a tower, you go up, see the landscape and that is all.
I was totally wrong because there is a very nice and interactive museum inside the tower. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Galata tower and the location was very convinient. The room was quite large and according to the description. It was also a small balcony. The breakfast is served on the top floor where you can also have dinner and some drinks.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
They also gave us an Istanbul Kard to be charged for public transportation and a small wifi box that was really useful when discovering the city as we could be connected all the time without extra charge
The location of the hotel is great. 5min walk from Galata Tower. There are a lot of nice restaurants and local shops. It has a great rooftop. This hotel is great if you are traveling solo and staying over night.
A beautiful boutique hotel in an historical building.
The location near the Galata tower, the Galata bridge & galata port is key for nice walks & shopping.
Staff is really helpful.
The location is fantastic, as it is close to the Galata Tower. The interior of the hotel is charming, evoking the ambience of the 19th cantury. The staff is very kind, and there is excellent attention given to the guests.
Staff were super nice ( Big shout out to Mister Khalil, Yunus and Oumaima). Room clean, confortable bed, calm area, good breakfast, hotel near Galata Tower and about 5 min from Istiklal st by walk and 20min to Taksim.
Very clean hotel, helpful and responsible staff. Located at the heart of Sirkeci, Istanbul. Just walking distance from Aya Sofia, Süleymanie Mosque, Galata Tower and lots of more places. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Also metro and tram stations just 2 minutes walking distance from where you can explore all of İstanbul. Very easy to find from the airport or Bus station with the metro.

We were really pleased with our stay at the Be Mate Casa Di Bava as it is a very nice apartment, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Istanbul as it is near Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. The views from the Penthouse were excellent as you could see all uninterrupted sights such as a Galata tower and various light-up mosques.
A special thanks to Tammam who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and helped us with all the requests.
The best place in Istanbul! Awesome staff, Mrs. Busra is very kind, always prepared and willing to help, and having a perfect English-speaking, and also Mr. Volkan is always very nice and ready to help, both being professionals in treating the guests in the proper manner. The hotel is new, very clean, and well maintained, and the location is close to Galata Tower and the Metro station. We liked it very much, so we will come again.

We visited the Galata Tower at lunch time and enjoyed a great meal with a table at the window. Our soup and salad were good and the view and atmosphere were great. Much better than being crowded onto the narrow deck above.

Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant.
Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant. In every corner you can find perfect meal. Good to try fish restaurant in Bosphorous, or in Çiçek Pasajı. And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view. What it can be better than that!
