The perfect place to stay in Sigiriya! We arrived as guests and left as family! Sanje and his staff are absolutely amazing. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and your needs are met. Whether you are there to relax by the beautiful pool or site see to the famous rock and local attractions Sigiriya cottage will not disappoint! They have a restaurant where they serve a nice variety of choices. Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka, we were sad to leave. Until next time, thank you 🙏

A Hidden Gem with Great Views
Sigiriya Kingdom Resort is amazing! The views of Sigiriya Rock are beautiful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, and the food is tasty. I also visited the Dambulla Cave Temple, which was great, and I even saw some monkeys there! A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!
Location is in a quiet part of town, near the lake. Hosts were very kind, food good. Hot water was available. A good base to see the sites like Sirigiya and Dambulla cave temple. Would recommend.
The location is perfect, close to major attractions like the Dambulla Cave Temple and Sigiriya Rock Fortress, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The hotel also provided a delicious breakfast that catered to a variety of tastes.
Near the Dambulla Cave Temple, you’ll find a fantastic dinner option featuring some of the best fried rice paired with delicious chicken curry—a must-try for food lovers! The host, Charuka, is exceptionally friendly and will make your experience even more memorable.
Staff were great and flexible. They let us choose our preferred room. Great view of the Dambulla cave temple mountain from our balcony. Breakfast was epic every time, a whole experience. The Masseurs were excellent and a very peaceful garden. Bruno the dog was a delightful guardian and protector from the monkeys.

The place is perfectly situated walking distance to the Dambulla Cave Temple. It is surrounded by flowering plants and trees giving you a really serene experience. The room is clean and equipped with hotel-like necessities. It has its own balcony overlooking their backyard full of fruit bearing trees. Madhu and Sanjay are lovely hosts. Really accommodating and treated us like family. Will definitely stay here again once we’re back in Sri Lanka.
We stayed one night at New Sandra Guesthouse and were impressed by the cozy and clean environment. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the Dambulla Cave Temple. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the area!
The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Dambulla city center. You can even consider walking to Dambulla Cave Temples area , it took me 30 minutes from the hotel to the Temple Entrance. Sigiriya is just 30 minutes by bus , Polonnaruwa ruins is just 1.5 hours by bus from Dambulla centre. Even though it is close to the city centre, the property is in a forest full of tropical birds, fabulous. The room was spacious and clean. Definetely , good value for your money.

Dambulla cave temple 10 minutes away Minneriya National Park 20 minutes and 15 minutes to Sigiriya rock very easy to reach everywhere. I can highly recommend this hotel to other guests. I hope to come back again!
