Convenient location, off the main road. Quiet room with Balcony. We liked the air con. And there is a supermarket minutes away. It’s a nice hotel with large rooms.the breakfast was remarkable! The best breakfast out of all the places we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka and the staff is very smiley and kind.

The best part of our stay was the host, who went above and beyond to help us organize excursions and transportation. His advice was truly invaluable.
The accommodation itself was nice — clean and comfortable. The spacious yard and swimming pool are available for all guests to enjoy. We didn’t try the food, but the coffee was fantastic! Guests also have the option to borrow bicycles free of charge, which is a great bonus.

We had an amazing stay here, the area was beautiful. Everything was clean and the food was delicious, many options to choose from. The manager - Bernard was extremely helpful(as well as other the other hotel staff). He made sure we had a good time, recommended restaurants and places to visit. The manager is an amazing and kind person, and not only as regards the guest house, but also very helpful with tips and what to visit next in Sri Lanka.
Also, location is walking distance from the Dambulla Cave Temple and every bus to Kandy or Sirigya stops nearby.
Breakfast was also included and delicious and on request you can also order dinner there (which I did, and I was fully satisfied).
Rooms - very spacious and spotless clean room. Warm water, beautiful garden, and near all attractions.
Nearby activities - sigiriya lion rock, Minneriya national Park, Dambulla cave temple, Ayurveda spa treatments, village tour, herbal Garden, nature and animals, good restaurants.

It’s proximity to both Dambulla Cave Temple and Golden Temple were excellent. Virtually a ten minute walk from the hotel. The staff here were super friendly and always with a smile. We found this hotel very generous offering to drop us into town and laundry service also. The pool was very nice and refreshing with a swim up bar and food available at poolside. Perfect for cooling off after our walk up and down the mountain.
Dambulla town itself is not much, we took just over an hour to look around before walking back to the Hotel.
Very pretty, clean and comfortable room in quiet neighbourhood, yet close to city centre and the Dambulla cave temple. We loved it. Excellent breakfast.
The family running the place is absolutely adorable. They showed us around with their car, took us to a local dance show and for a Ayurveda massage, and we visited gorgeous places we would not have found ourselves.
Best experience in Sri Lanka, I would give a 12 rating, if I could.

The rooms were big, cozy and very new with all amenities. The bathroom were very clean as compared to other properties we stayed in Sri Lanka.
The host was kind enough to give us ride to dambulla cave temple as well as dropped us to bus station in his tuk tuk without any charge.
Definitely more worth than the charges we paid!

I was staying in the hostel room and it was a brand new and comfortable place. Room and toilets/bathroom were clean and neat. The breakfast was provided. The host and the staff were friendly and helpful and guided me for next day planning. I was happy about the location as it is walking distance to the Dambulla cave temple and tuk-tuk distance for the Sigiriya. Thumbs up!!!

We booked Vishudda room with private pool . The room was large and looked as in picture. The bed was comfortable. The Aircon worked well. Bawantha , the manager , was helpful. The location is around 2 kms from Dambulla Cave temple but in the interior countryside. The hotel is surrounded by thick vegetation. The food at the restaurant was ok. The private pool is good when clean. It's a good stay if u can put with bit of maintenence issues.
We loved the property. It is very cosy and clean. Best hotel, best breakfast and best stuff. Owner is so helpful and super kind. He arranged safari trip and take us to the Pidurangala hike in the very early morning. He even took us to the Dambulla cave temple without any payment. If you want to visit Dambulla I can't imagine better place than Gamagedara Resort.
