EVERYTHING - This is not just a stay, it's an experience never to be forgotten.
Embarking on the Eco Village journey felt like entering a tranquil time capsule. Rocky Mountain views painted a picturesque backdrop as we traversed fields on the road to nostalgia. Mr. Kasun, the maestro of operations, warmly greeted us during check-in, creating a symphony of hospitality that lingered throughout our stay. The top-floor wood cabin surprised us with its elegant decor, and my wife and Mr. Kasun had conspired to orchestrate a delightful birthday cake.
As we roamed the property, we discovered a magical world filled with unexpected mango offerings and nostalgic swings and hammocks. The day was punctuated by the melody of freshly brewed milk tea, leading us to an eagerly awaited Bullock Cart ride down memory lanes. The evening sky painted itself in hues of enchantment as we indulged in a dinner masterpiece of Sri Lankan delights, served in a traditional setting.
As the moon cast its cozy spell, we surrendered to the embrace of plush beds and a gentle night breeze, foreshadowing the enchanting overture of morning tea awaiting us. In the garden, a breakfast symphony unfolded, starring a tantalizing ensemble of traditional rice and curry—a culinary masterpiece that gracefully ushered in the perfect dawn.
Exploring the city and reluctantly packing our bags, bidding goodbyes became a bittersweet melody. In conclusion, the Eco Village is a portal to serenity and tradition, offering a calm haven with a touch of magic. I wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting abode to anyone seeking a timeless tale of relaxation.
Kudos to Mr. Kasun & the team! I'm already anticipating the next chapter in this unforgettable journey.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

All the sites were wonderful - Sigiriya (the rock), Dambulla Caves (Amazing - especially cave #2), Polonnaruwa (Ancient City), Elephant Safari saw 40 to 50 elephants - Mothers and their children on a ridge at the very end of the safari! It was a great day to be able to see that many in the game reserve all together. I would spend minimum 3 but really 4 nights up here as the travel day really doesn't count because you aren't running out to see anything until the next day, so this way you have 3 full days to see all the sites and it isn't rushed. Also, you go out early in the morning as it gets too bloody hot in the middle of the day.

The staff was amazing! We visited Dambulla with the tuktuk for free and we were taken to a viewpoint for the sunset close to the hotel. We went to Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya by tuktuk for 16k and even saw an elephant on the side of the road. Food was amazing as well, expecially the dhal! Perfectly located, we took the bus on the main road to Kandy (2 hours and 270 rupees/person). The swimming pool was the icing on the cake after a long day under the sun :)
Evergreen was one of my favourite places to stay in Sri Lanka. The location is peaceful and surrounded by open countryside but also very near the town for transport and restaurants. The hotel has a nice family feel and Api was very helpful giving advice and organising trips. Isuru was an excellent driver who took me to Sigiriya and showed me some places on the way back to make the most of the day. Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend this accommodation! It’s very quiet and peaceful, but close to dambulla. Pradeep is the best host you can wish for. He and his staff members made sure that we had everything we wished for. And they showed us around the village, and learned us so much about Sri Lanka and how it is to live here.
They made us wonderful vegetarian food from own garden.
The hotel is located very conveniently close to the main Dambulla bus stand and in close proximity to the town if you want to head to a supermarket or grab some food. The staff were very helpful, the facilities worked very well. The toilets and the rooms were very clean and had amenities such as hot water, shower gels and shampoo. It was definitely a value for money stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location in Dambulla and an easy commute to Sigiriya via tuk tuk. Host was incredibly helpful, insightful and friendly. Organised our transfer to the hotel from Colombo. Great breakfast to begin the day. Great value for money.
