Kadensho, Arashiyama Onsen, Kyoto - Kyoritsu Resort, hotel in Kyoto

It was a good “full ryokan” experience with the half-board option (Japanese dinner and breakfast). The ryokan is conveniently right across from the Aryshiyama station but if you need to go to the JR Saga Aryshiyama station with lots of luggage, it’s a just short taxi ride. We used the private bath at 10:15 p.m. and there was just a short wait.

Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama, hotel in Kyoto

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away.

Very comfortable and well equipped room. Right beside the rail line but with very good double glazed windows we hardly heard the trains. Pleasant and helpful staff and a short walk from Arashiyama attractions.

    It's a bridge.

It's a bridge. But, if you're lucky, you might snap a photo of a white heron (the nickname of Himeji Castle) there. You should also ride do a rickshaw tour. It's pricey, but it's a human pulling your fat arse around ... it's totally worth every cent!
