I spent 2 weeks travelling through Japan and this was my favourite place. The room was lovely , great view , spacious and clean. The staff were all polite and friendly. It's on the other side of the river from the hustle and bustle but still has it's own attractions . A little convenience store is a couple of minutes walk and 5 minute walk to great to the main shopping street.

Felt lucky to be able to get a room here. The location is peaceful and quiet. I loved this area of Kyoto and wish I had more time there. The breakfast was indeed outstanding. I also loved the lounge in the evening.

It's a bridge.
It's a bridge. But, if you're lucky, you might snap a photo of a white heron (the nickname of Himeji Castle) there. You should also ride do a rickshaw tour. It's pricey, but it's a human pulling your fat arse around ... it's totally worth every cent!
