It was an excellent stay at Grand Base, the location is good, we just walk for 8-10 mintues to Tenjin station, the room is spacious, the bathroom and washroom are clean. Smooth check-in and out procedures. It's a bonus that there is a car parking (not free) just right downstair the property.
The hotel and the room are absolutely clean according to Japanese standard. Its location is also good, not so far from Tenjin station. Tenjin is a great area for food and shopping in Fukuoka city. Stay in Tenjin area is better than stay near Hakata station. You can take a taxi from the hotel to Fukuoka Airport with a cost of around 2,500 yen; it may be the cheapest city in Japan to take a cap from the city area to an international airport.
The location is by far it's greatest asset. Walking distance from almost everything (shopping, restaurants, Tenjin Station, and Hakata station). The only thing that out did its location was the staff. Although there was a language barrier, they all did their best to assist us and communicate to the best of their abilities. This is the second time I stayed here and will continue to stay there for future trips for sure!!!
The hotel is located within walking distance to shopping and transport options (Tenjin Station), so it is very convenient. It is also connected to a convenience store, so you can pick up drinks or snacks at any time.
Staff was very helpful, lending us umbrellas too when it started drizzling.
The area is lively with a hidden yakiniku and izakaya shop (including a bar). There is also a local 24-hour minimart nearby that sells items cheaper than the convenience store. It's a 10-minute walk to Tenjin Station, making it perfect for walking or taking a taxi; public transportation via bus is available nearby but not very frequent.
There are two Donki stores nearby, each about a 10-15 minute walk away.
The room is quite old but well-cleaned, and the building itself is also quite old. The room size is standard for a Japanese room.
Location was excellent being near to Nishitetsu Tenjin Station. It's convenient to go to many places from here. There are also loads of shopping and eating places nearby that are very good. Bed was comfortable although room seems to feel smaller than 22sqm.
Great location, a few minute walk to the Tenjin Station. Breakfast was good. Hotel was able to hold our luggage before and after check out.

Perfect location between Hakata and Tenjin stations. You can use Exit 3 or 4 from Nakasu Kawabata station to walk 3 minutes to this hotel. Also Exit 4 is inside the Don Quijote building with an escalator compared to the stairs on Exit 3. You can walk 5 minutes to Fukuoka Shopping Center and access the overhead walkway to Canal City Mall and Kushida Shrine is also at the end of Fukuoka Shopping Center. Last but not least is the free welcome drink at the bar every night.
The hotel location is very convenient. It closes to most of the attractive locations and public transportations (bus, JR train, high-speed train) at Hakata and Tenjin stations.
