The place is very clean and equips with everything you need for a night stay. They even have free drinks in the fridge including beers for guest. Room size is good as well. Quiet neighbourhood near the temple. I would stay there again if I return to Nagano.

Loved the location, onsen and facilities. The dryer was the best we used in Japan. Well run hotel and we are fans of the Dormy Inn brand now.

super convenient to Nagano station. Hotel is from 5th Floor in multistory building. Rooms reasonable size, bathroom quite large, for Japanese standards. Twin beds large and comfortable. Good spot. Very friendly staff.
The hotel is very close to the Nagano station.
The receptionist was very gentle and helped us a lot during our stay (even though his English was not perfect, he was very helpful and we really appreciated his kindness, a big thanks to him).
The room was clean and a lot of amenities (comparing to other hotels) are available in the lobby.
The breakfast was a buffet with a mix of Japanese and continental dishes, I really appreciated the local juices.
Excellent staff. Room was nice with a seating area and didn't feel too overly cramped. The breakfast was a range of western and japanese style food, so it should suit anybody. There are laundry facilites and there is a lawson down right next to the hotel. The location was super close to Nagano Station. Well worth the price (which wasn't even that much).
The location was fantastic, next to Nagano station. The staff spoke different languages and were extremely helpful. Our train time had to be changed and we arrived very early in Nagano so we were very pleased to be able to leave our luggage. The rooms were comfortable and warm which we very much appreciated. The best part was that although the breakfast buffet was not as big as other hotels we have stayed at in Japan, the quality of the Items were high and varied - we enjoyed the two breakfasts we had at this hotel - it was delicious!
The owner made an effort to explain house rules well. English signs were clear, too. And he prepared travel guides. Non-Japanese should appreciate such things and be respectful. The man probably depends on this for income, and we get it for a VERY cheap price, unlike others that charge a lot so don't expect hotel-level accommodation. Travelers shouldn't behave like entitled guests.
The bed was cozy. Location was a good walking distance to Nagano station and same block as a nice grocery store. All you need is there.
Excellence location. Just 2 minutes from Nagano Station. From the East Exit, cross the bridge, go down the stairs, see a 7-11 and the hotel is next to it. Super convenient. Room is old style but very spacious which is a plus point in Japan hotels.
Hotel room was huge compared to other rooms in japan. We were put on the 14th floor with beautiful views of the city and mountains. Staff was wonderful, and the restaurant had above average wood fire pizza. About a 15 minute walk to nagano station.
Size of the room is bigger than I expected. Probably the biggest I has ever stayed during my holidays in Japan.
Room facilities were excellent and hotel location within walking to the Nagano station.
Overall, its huge lobby with ample sitting certainly justify its Grand status.
Lastly, not forgetting the excellent front desk reception services.
Fantastic location, close to Nagano Station and shopping areas. A pleasant walk to Zenkoji temple. Quite a large room for Japanese standards, suitable size for a family of 4. Well appointed, full kitchen, decent sized fridge, microwave etc. Great shower and water pressure. A very quiet room with minimal road noise heard. A quiet complex of 5 apartments only.. Netflix provided.

One of Nagano's specialties is oyaki, a steamed bun filled with various things (local vegetables, leeks, bean paste, etc.). Nagano Station sells them cold, but on the road leading up to Zenko-ji Temple, you can find them piping hot--perfect for a chilly winter day in the mountains. Gohei-mochi is another regional treat, which is basically pounded rice stuck on a stick and grilled. It has a similar flavor to mitarashi dango, though it's not always as sweet. There's an incredible buffet (or "viking") with a ton of vegetarian options on the walk up to Zenjo-ki as well: there's a sign out front that says "kinoko and vegetable," and many of the offerings within feature locally grown vegetables. Don't skip the maitake tempura: I didn't realize how much I liked mushrooms until I came here!
