This hotel is amazing, so close to Station and they provided the most amazing amenities including everything you can think of, no need to bring any toiletries with you, we stayed only one night but wished we can stay longer. We booked two rooms and requested they are close to each other and was accomodated. Very helpful and friendly staff as well.

I am neurodivergent (autistic) solo traveller and am sensitive to noise and heat so will be reviewing from that perspective.
I thought the location of the hotel was good. Relatively quick and easy to find from Nagano station and within walking distance to tourist sites like Zenkoji Temple (or just walking to station for day trips elsewhere).
The entrance was nice and welcoming. You can borrow umbrellas for free which was great for the rain and snow I experienced. The staff also spoke good English and were friendly and welcoming. Both check in and check out processes are easy and quick, and I could leave my baggage there during the day after checkout for a later pickup which was handy.
The room itself was good. Nice sized bedroom and bed, with a window you can open to outside if you want some fresh air, although it can be pretty noisy so may not work for you. There's also good heating and air-conditioning, as well as a super warm doona so that's good.
The onsen was quite nice on the male side, with an outside onsen available that is quite interesting to experience when it's also snowing outside. Pretty cool highlight. You also get a free ice-cream or probiotic yoghurt the onsen after visiting depending on when you visit.
The noise from other rooms and outside was ok. Didn't have any issues myself and found it quite good. Just make sure to close your sliding door panel thing so you don't hear the fan noise from bathroom.
Wifi/internet was also really good and worked well.

Nagano was a bit of a surprise for us really.
Nagano was a bit of a surprise for us really. We stayed two nights so that we could go and see the snow monkeys. Unfortunately although we did see some monkey we felt the snow park experience was very over hyped and would not recommend it, However, we really liked Nagano. A really nice town. The Zenjoki temple was a really nice surprise - fabulous collection of temples and shrines all backed by gorgeous mountains. The nearby art gallery is ultra modern - fantastic architecture and really interesting art. We could have stayed longer and will probably return again.

There is a lot to see and do in Nagano that I didn't expect.
There is a lot to see and do in Nagano that I didn't expect. Zenkoji Temple was an exceptional experience and highly recommend getting the combined ticket to access all aspects of the temple. The station offers regular shopping as well as a lot of souvenir stores with local specialties. Did not have enough time to see the old Olympic facilities but would have been fun to explore. Overall, it was fun to explore and would definitely recommend at least two days.

the location was the key attraction. the hotel is linked to Midori where food and transport is easily accessible. It was very important as it meant that my 80+ year old mother is able to walk to the train station warm as we were in Nagano during winter. Food at Midori was great as always, there are really nice eating places close by as well. Next is the ease of transportation - most of the buses are routed here, so getting around Nagano is very easy. The room is a really good size and everything was clean

Breakfast was a good spread of basic western and Japanese savory items as well as Chateraise cakes and yogurt or pudding!
Hotel was more spacious compared to other hotels we have been to in Japan. Room was clean and neat. Closer to Nagano station with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
