We had wonderful stay at Xplore by Active Life. This property locate in middle of the town which we can go to restaurant, shop or ski lift in few minutes walk. The staff were very kind and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, we felt so relax when we came back to our room. Bed and pillow were also soft and good. We recommend Xplore and will come back next season.

Super efficient check-in (which isn't always the case!). Rooms are a bit dated, though very functional. Buffet breakfast was good, and lovely views from the restaurants and cafes in the hotel. Nice enough onsen. Can't beat the convenience of the location!

The host was very welcoming. The location was great for ski-out (for everyone) and ski-in (for intermediate above skier).
Room was a bit old but fine. The bathroom was a bit (too) small. No tissues in the room, but toilet paper in the bathroom. Breakfast was simple but good. Only the host and her sons are running the place, so breakfast can be slow when the hotel is full.

Location was quite nice. Walking distance to Madarao Ski Resort. The building was quite old but have been renovated. It is a little bit unique to have Japanese Room but not with futon. So It is like a fusion hotel.
I hope they can fixed the onsen soon as it is very important to sink after tiring day.
Overall nice stay.
“The Private Onsen” ( private open air hot spring )
quite large private onsen where you can relax while watching starts at night. this is the most liked part of our stay. also you can see the Madarao ski resort from your room window.
Absolutely friendly owners and were very helpful during our stay. The location was amazing as it was 3 minute walk away to the Madarao ski resort. The beds were comfy, the showers and toilets were clean and it was convenient that there were multiple toilets. The breakfast served was great and they also had a nice selection of meals for dinner.
A washing machine and a dryer was available too at the property. Overall great experience staying here and Mark and Mayuko were very pleasant.
