Perfect location to explore some of the culture and scenery of Kyoto. Quiet location but very very close to Saga Arashiyama station (2 min walk and easy transit to Kyoto station), nearby supermarket, restaurants, kimono rental, and short walk to the main shopping area, river, bamboo forest, and shrines.
Well appointed spacious and comfortable rooms with good amenities, nice views of the mountains, excellent service staff who speak various languages and will help send luggage.
This is my second time staying here and I will come again.

Absolutely loved every bit of this hotel. The room was spacious compared to typical Japanese hotel rooms. The bed was a good size and super clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Conveniently located near a bus station, railway, 7-Eleven, other supermarkets, and restaurants.
Ideally situated in Kyoto, The Royal Park Canvas - Kyoto Nijo features air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a shared lounge.

Well situated being just outside the station, made it perfect for getting back to. The Nijo station is also a JR station so if you have a JR pass your travel from Kyoto station to here will be included. Lovely hotel, felt very relaxed and comfortable. The bed was massive and very comfortable, slept very well. Spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was good coffee machines and accompaniments were great. It was lovely to be able to take out an iced coffee with us when we left for the day, for those with a sweet tooth like myself they had a good mocha as an option as well as coffee syrups available rather than just your standard sugar and milk.
Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away.
