Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura, hotel in Kamakura

Located within 13 miles of Sankeien and 13 miles of Yokohama Marine Tower, Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura provides rooms in Kamakura.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and have always been impressed. It is a Japanese hotel so the quality of the staff and service, appointments, and cleanliness were all superlative. Hotel Metropolitan is connected to the Japan Rail East Group so it is located a very short (2-3 minutes?) walk from JR Kamakura Station. Very modern in design with nice Japanese touches. This time our room was facing the Japanese garden in the inner courtyard which was lovely, even in the off season. This property does not offer resort facilities (pool, gym, bars, restaurants, etc.), but is next door to a MUJI store and MUJI cafe and very much in the center of all Kamakura has to offer.

Included breakfast is excellent, as are available evening meal options (pay attention to the "last order" time). Location is 5-minutes from local bus stops and a small supermarket (note the supermarket is not a convenience store and not open 24h, so plan accordingly). Beach is across the street and is easily accessed. While not hidden away by any means, this property is isolated from the noise and bustle of the throngs of day tourists around JR Kamakura Station and the Enoden Line.

Located just next to Kita-Kamakura Station, about 2-3 minutes’ walk. The room is clean and well-organized. One can hardly feel that the it is actually quite small ( another good feature though, easy to fetch anything and all are at hand). Japanese-styled decoration with actual tatami, AC and a great bathroom and everything people can ask for in a hotel. The hosting lady is one with kind heart and hospitality, I had a good time chatting with her in Japanese (it’s ok if you don’t speak Japanese, the translator she used is of great help)

The compact and comfortable room I stay was like perfect for solo (and probably couple) travelers. Room has everything I need and the shared lounge and balcony was comfy. Their interior was in the simple and cozy style (and I love it); staff was friendly and check out was convenient; location was pretty close to Kamakura station, and there were like tons of shops and restaurants around and even a supermarket. Definitely would like to stay there again.

This is a lovely boutique hotel right next to Kamakura Station! Super convenient location, and everything is so well thought out and executed. The private sauna was delightful, the room spotless and comfortable, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the food delicious.

The location of the hotel was superb, just 2mins walk from the JR Kamakura Station. I arrived on a rainy day, the short distance really makes the difference. The room size I booked was great as well, there are 3 sections, the entrance with toilet and bath, bed section & living section. The hotel also surrounded by local amenities and convenient stores. I definitely will choose this hotel should I revisit Kamakura.

Great Location in Kamakura, several minutes work from Kamakura station and Komachi St (Shopping Street). Clean and new facilities, with a Japanese style public bath. Friendly staff and nice quiet place to stay. Tosei Hotel is a Japan local small chain hotel, this is second time I stay in Tosei hotel cocone. Recommend this if would use budget hotel. Breakfast cost 1650 YEN on today's price. I did not try breakfast due to early leave, the price is good, I believe it would be good.

It is the perfect place to stay in Kamakura. 90 year old traditional Japanese house which is well preserved and very cute and cosy. Rooms are too cosy amd charming. The main sitting area allowed all of us to sit together and chat with host and other guest. Very lively and we made friends. English friendly. The host Bushi is Samurai is too fun. The experiance we had here was the best. Close to beach and kamakura station and CAFES

The property gives you a traditional Japan vibe. Away from the hustle and bustle and yet not far from the main city (just a 15 minute bus ride from Kamakura station), it was a wonderful stay. Equipped with a kitchen, traditional beddings, kotatsu, etc and great staff (Emi san) whom I had an excellent time conversing with, if you want an affordable and an amazing place to stay for your visit to Kamakura, I’d definitely recommend Kamakura guest house!
