The staff (Antonio in particular) went above and beyond to help us arrange transport to get to the airport at 4 in the morning. They were helpful, courteous, pleasant and always reliable.
The location simply cannot be beat and the family room is wonderful for families with children.
Also loved that the rooms had free water, yogurt, juice and crackers.
The staff also made the beds and replaced everything in the room EACH night, which was wonderful.

If you want to dig a bit deeper into Agrigento’s glittering history, this is the place to come. The Regional Archaeological Museum is full of ancient artefacts from the area’s Hellenic past, each one supported by a fascinating back story. It’s the perfect complement to your visit to the Valley of the Temples.

What a marvel...but...don't even think of eating/getting coffee here unless you understand: coffee is c. 10Euro...but walk thru, peak in the windows, stroll around listening to the music, feel the ambiance and then hit the narrow walkways for real food (read reviews...touristy places can have awful food...there are plenty of great restaurants if you search)

It is always full of people, even at midnight. Put on your patience hat and you will be surprised how fast the lines move. No matter what time of day I visit, I am always surprised by something wonderful.

Go early in the morning, or in the evening, to avoid tourist overcrowding. Learn when the two high tides are. Book St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and tours for early admission, and do so well in advance of your trip.

Probably the most beautiful square in the world!
Probably the most beautiful square in the world! Very expensive to get coffee etc on the square itself be prepared to pay upward of 15 euro for a beverage and 25 euro for a cocktail in some cafes, but plenty of places cheaper nearby. I’d recommend going during carnival season as when everyone is wandering around in their costumes it’s like going back in time. The architecture is stunning. You can go inside the basilica and doges palace etc, admission fee approximately €15 per entry and the queues can be long so if it’s something you’re interested in perhaps pre book online to get a better deal and skip the line. The architecture is stunning with so many details everywhere you look but also the line of Murano glass chandeliers looks fab at night.

Visit in the evenings, after the cruise-boat tourists have departed and the pigeons have flown to roost, and see it as it truly is. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it should be avoided. Just don't go during the most crowded times, and see for yourself why it became popular in the first place

Many shops and few restaurants on the walkway around St Marco. They are super expensive. On the side street are shops that are cheaper. You can visit the Clock tower for Euro 10. There is a lift to take you atop. Great views from above. No need to buy advance tickets on line which charge you double the entry cost. The Basilica entrance costs Euro 3 and the cost to the rooftop and museum costs Euro 7. Worth a visit. On the side by the waterfront is the entrance to the Dogi palace. Has impressive paintings and rooms. Entrance is Eur 30. Seniors over 65 pay at half price. Well worth a visit.
The receptionist handed over the keys and walked with is to the apartment which was close by to the Hotel Scandinavia and explained everything. The apartment was close to Piazza San Marco and a great location for exploring. It met all of our expectations and was worth the price. A great Venetian property.
Amazing location, just 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco. I received detailed instructions in advance on how to get to the hotel, so there were no issues finding it. The cozy room had everything we needed. We slept with the windows open, and it was very warm. The mattress was perfect and comfortable, and the double bed had a large duvet—thin but warm.
Quiet place, surrounded with everything you need, bar-snacks, restaurant, market. 15-20 min from bus station and around 20-25 minutes from piazza San Marco. But you will enjoy in view for that time so you will not feel it. Apartment was clean, equipped with everything you need, contactless check in, which is super cool, recommendation. I am coming again for sure.
Great apartment just a 15-minute walk from Piazza San Marco, located in a quiet and authentic area. Spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi. Perfect for those who want to experience Venice away from the crowds but still close to the city's heart. Friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended!
Location is great, in a very quite neighborhood yet not far from the walking street, shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Piazza San Marco and water bus stations. The host is very friendly and helpful. Apartment is very clean and here you can find everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Lots of wonderful books, very cozy and you really can feel like home. Such a great stay!
The apartment is super spacious and comfortable. It is recycled in a very functional and warm way at the same time. It is very well equipped, with every detail in its proper place. It is located 20 min. walking distance from Piazza San Marco, an optimal distance that allows you to see many icons of Venice along the way.
The location of the hotel is great, very convenient, just within 15 min walk you’re at the heart of Venice Piazza San Marco, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and we felt very welcomed!
Beautiful boutique hotel a little off the beaten track, which was a huge bonus for us. Its location feels much more like "real Venice" than the more touristy area around Piazza San Marco. We loved our stay and will stay there again next trip.
I had a great time in Venice. The hotel is in a very good location (only 10 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco), room was very clean, bed was confortable, breakfast was also good and the girls at the reception were very friendly and supportive. I highly recommend.
